Years of development result in an obtuse, grindy and bland experience. While a unique marriage of systems, each system and mechanic can however be found better executed elsewhere.

Gave this game another shot, but the crafting/menu system is just way to awkward and complicated. I built a premade structure and I was able to build a hover frame, but i couldn't figure out how to build anything past that. The interface and crafting system needs to be much more intuitive.

Really interesting conceptually. I wanted to like this game. I like a lot a similar games. But the tutorial didn't take me to a point where I got to really experience what the game has to offer. It taught me the basics of survival, but nothing about base building or exploration.

I tried doing a little base, but the way you build the base left a lot to be desired...

Overall, just disappointed...

I don't know how long ago I bought this. I'm sure it was pre-release. I played for 4.5 hours once. I had a vague memory of a game like it, so I tried this one. It is probably not the same one I remember. This game sucks. The UI sucks. Enemy spawning sucks. The whole thing is just lame, hard to understand right out of the gate, and stupid AF.

About 2 years ago I bought the game and got a refund on it because it was so terrible. They definitely have come a long way since then. Getting rid of the motorcycle and doing the hoverbike was a major improvement to say the least. Still would like to see improvement in the building arena IE one block takes up one block whether it is a full size or not. That needs fixed!!!

I REALLY like Empyrion but years of them focused on the most random stuff such as what amounts to an early access DLC instead of proper bug fixes or QOL updates or actual performance updates, and the very visibly patched together code is just... Tiring after a point, so I legitimately can't recommend it, it's like a gold ring being scratched over and over by a rock.

This game constantly kicked other people from my dedicated server after about 200 hours on a file and made the game almost difficult to continue playing, i wish the server would stay on longer and allow easier access that would be a quality connection to it, i ended up losing 200 hours on a file that no longer worked and felt very sad about that honestly.
