Food perish time
i think some food perish time is just so fast.
Meat is example. I hunt cute animals but it gets rotten till i get back to my base.
some plants too
and we need more animals

Food spoiling isn't an issue after lvl 5 which only takes between 10-20 minutes real life time. After which you can build a fridge and spoilage will never be an issue again. The spoil rate at start is to push you to make a firdge. Plus gathering items is a great way to level fast from 1-5 and yes some of it will spoil but that's ok. Animal amounts are slim. But they have said they have plans on adding more types.

Also when i produce a new food, it adds to old food. And that also drops perish time. Because new food perish time becomes old foods perish time. Its not fair

it's very fair. If you're collecting all the food you see up until you get level 3, that should be more than enough until you get settled with a small base. Ignore everything except stone, iron, copper, silicon rocks and the odd tree (for protein) as well as the corndog looking things. They give 2 food protein which lets you build a single protein bar. Each bar has as good amount of time before it parishes.

Yea I usually have around 20 protien bars by the time I hit lvl 5 lol

so are you telling me 2 days pizza is same with todays pizza? cool enjoy your food then
agreed with protein bars but cant make them lot because if i keep them as corndog they perish like fast, if i make lot of bars from them then i have to wait long time till i get hungry which makes them lot bar with almost perish

Its hard to decide right at that topic, it depends strong on the whole foodsystem.

On one hand without fridge perish timer feels to short for .... some plants crop.
Problem is that we have now kategorys as crop.
So no difference between a Tomatoe and a Durian

On the other hand i miss a really shorttime Food that feed good but has only a timer of 5 or so
(I would edit eggs i think ?)

As soon as you have fridges spoilage is so or so no longer a topic

It should average the values. If you have a food that is 1 away from perishing and add to it a food that is 20 away from perishing, the stack should average to about 10 before perishing.

What that means is that if you have old food and add new to it, the new food will not last as long as it normally would if it was kept separate from old food.

What I started doing, depending on the situation, is to keep stacks separate. You can even move food temporarily to the hotbar to keep it separate.
