Change of trader faction
Ok i see how hard it is to get trader faction up unless you go off planet and kill some Pirates. If i may suggest the following change...
# People who trade wares WANT to trade wares. So lower the faction with traders to friendly at the outset OR make it easier to gain faction with said group. ( its simple economics really).

I think trading could alter the standing with traders.
The more rare the comodity the better the rating. Would make sence to me.

Since you can't trade with them by default, that might be hard to pull off.

I remember reading when 12 came that you "play as a trader." Yeah, that's really not going to work. Before people get started on the "just mod the game" mantra, if you have to mod a game just to play it, it's not much of a game.

Yep, thats true, however I think the ability to sell to them could be opened up quite simple from a lower rep.

Good luck getting that message across.

The nerf of faction gains has resulted in hardly ever being able to get enough rep to trade until you're at a level that you don't need to trade any more.

I cant follow you there at all, This is not a nerve but one option to choose if you whant to paticipate in trade or not.

Imo this game is foremost a sandbox/building game. The survival aspect is small after getting of planet.

So just because you like a hard gamestart doesnt mean that expanding gameplay by more diverse and indepht NPC interaction and there factions is a nerve as such or undesireable for others.

And who says that you could or should be able to trade all things right away, If made right it should take a player a good bit of transporting goods for high reputation, this is about beeing able to trade without first starting a killing spree amongst an other faction, wich is posible without making the game to easy.

I played around in the X-series for ages and it works great there.

Im aware of youre salty atitude and wont try to convince you of anything, I have a sunday with paperwork and take some time in between trying to imagine constructive ways of how this game could change. Im not entiteled to an answer of the devs nor do I expect them to act on my opinion.

I agree there. You should trade from the start but certain things are off limits. Trade with a neutral standing for food, seedlings, ore, equipment (including drills and multitools and their respective ammo), medicines and components etc. Weapons and the ammo for them are off limits until you can prove yourself trustworthy.

Even if having a neutral standing gives you a good rep gain but not much profit and buying stuff is dearer than with friendly standing. So you sell for less and buy for more but it's really the rep gain you are trying to get.

The genre I bought in a few years back was tagged as space, survival, building, sandbox.
So you insisting on the survival in the titel as the main goal is a poor argument at best.

Anyway, I dont try to sell you my opinion as fact any more or less then you vigorously trow yours around.

Were not gona get any further but Im just as free to trow in my thoughts as you and I will stopp or not depending on my time and intrest but certainly not because some guy acts like he is the law of development.

So whatever man, but if you think agressive posting is getting rid of others, youre mistaken, at least not me.
