Overloaded generators
A12 has a system whereby if you draw too much power out of a generator is takes damage and eventually explodes. Fair enough. I haven't been able to work out how to resolve this problem however. I added a shield generator to a HV and it caused the generator to explode, unsurprisingly, but if you simply add more generators they just explode one at a time. Is this something to do with CPU? How do you add more power to prevent generators from exploding?

do hv's have a larger generator? if so try that, i know sv's have 2 sizes but i am unfamilier with hv's (i rarely use them)
if not then you may need to post a bug report

not sure, did the shield put you over the limit cpu wise? (cpu menu of ship will show you this)
if so i would upgrade that then try again
afaik so long as you have enough cpu it should not affect the generators but ... if you dont have enough they will work at a reduced rate and that may cause them to max out earlier

Add generators until there is enough power produced to not go over 100% when you activate the shield. Another thing to consider is powering down thrusters and other power hungry devices when you turn on the shield, since the iniitial boot up uses the more power.

Along with this addition they also adjusted the power out put of at least some generators (the large T1 and T2 for CV and BA were nerfed, not sure about HV generators) and I think maybe the power consumption of some devices was increased.

One more time
HV shield needs 3600PU
small generator - 350PU
generator - 750PU (cheap and lvl3)

So you need 5 generator just for shield + normal usage.

This isn't too far from A11 either. HV shields took around 12k CPU to begin with on top of needing 4 large generators. I never was able to make a tank at T3 and have satisfactory firepower.

That said HVs have a large range of turret types, some are quite destructive. The cost of giving that kind of auto-fire capability a shield should be equally devastating. There is very little that will stand in your way planetside after you have that kind machine built properly

Not with the new POI's I took my T4 Maxxed tank at the drone factory Zirax and my 6k shield was done before I even got the POI's shield down 10%.... finally got it took out by using two tanks and a cv, It still took out booth tanks though I had to finish it off with the CV's cannon turrets.
