Next time make a screenshot when you start a seed (F12)
seems like they could figure out a way for something to save that data to a file somewhere but ...
for now i just make sure to note it (i save a text file with it in the save folder) or as suggested you could take a ss
unfortunatly that doesnt help you after the fact
I'm still thinking you can find the seed somewhere in some file...I'll poke around a bit and see if I can find anything.
(hummel had the savegame from the player)
So i guess you will have no luck
Already confirmed that it is playfield seed, not game seed.
Next time Ill remember to use your tip, Topaz. Thanks anyway guys
Senario seed determines the random playfield seeds according to a RandomPresets yaml file.
These yaml changes to planet, moon, asteroid, and trade station count are one of the few direct ways to change the Senario seeds. Most changes you make however apply to the playfield seed...
Playfield seed is selected at random by Senario seed. Thus, its not easy to change this seed yourself (unless you know something about that that I currently dont). Each playfield will have its own seed so as to make each version of that playfield (like say Alien Planet) different from others of the same type.
The Senario's randomly selected playfield seeds will randomize said playfield according to selected playfield yamls.
Most yaml changes made are to playfield seed random generation yaml files, static (POI, Ore, mob spawn points, drone atks, and PV) and dynamic (Terrain generation rules, Stamps rules, and planet stats like humidity). These are what define the large degree of randomness within said playfield. Bumping up the Iron Ore min/max in a static file will consequently increase the occurrence of iron ore within playfield seed randomness.
SSG (Solar System Generator) can be used to preview the Senario seed's selection of playfield seeds and how they generate. Consequently it also make it very easy to see how a small change to one yaml can completely changethe entire senario (try adding an extra asteroid field to a RandomPreset file and check the results in SSG over several senario seeds)
The seed you select before game launchis your senario seed.
Playfield seed is selected by the senario seed.
