Player elevator not airtight!
This was driving me nuts, I had an air leak in my build which I could not track down. My plants were dying until I moved the ventilator from the floor to the ceiling but when exiting the plant room, I got an oxygen warning message.

Using the N menu to see oxygen distribution showed me that O2 leaks through thin and slanted blocks (basically half blocks which do not register the full eight points of a block boundary), also slanted windows (armored or not) produce leaks.

I finally found the problem was with the player elevator but do not have a solution. The last section at the top of a player elevator leaks O2 and affects the whole elevator shaft. In my case, there is no room for a stairwell and walling the elevator off with windows and an airtight armored door has no effect.

It may be of interest that only the lack of O2 message appears near the player elevator yet my oxygen does not deplete.

When i built a tower (40 floors x 3 blocks high, total 120 blocks high)in survival mode with elevator shaft, as i was building up i sealed off my elevator with thin steel walls and mix of doors and shutters,of course there was no O2 in the shaft, because no O2 was getting in there. i had no problem with any leaks at all. I eventually removed the elevator shafts and walls that i placed every 5 floors, sealed the top of the shaft with a shutter, and O2 is now in elevator shaft.
You must have a bad(broke) or missing block somewhere.

Also check You have enough 02 in your tanks to fil the structure, or turning 02 and vents on will result in the game engine turning them off instantly.

Thanks for the tips, I think you may have solved this problem for me but I am not in game atm to check it out. One side of the elevator can't be sealed as it is against the warp core so I'll try moving the core over and sealing that side with thin walls when I get in game later today.

Sorry, didn't solve the air leak. the elevator is now completely enclosed with an airvent above the top most section but the leak persists. It has only 2 doors (both armored) The section below the vent and the first section entry point. Its not a big deal as you only pass through and don't linger, besides, even though the message appears, oxygen does not deplete.
