All plants dying while in perfect conditions
All my plants have died, except for coffee and ahax fruit, every other totally dead and not even dead stalks left, they just vanished after last harvest.

Experimental V:

Greenhouse Temperature 22'C
Radiation: 0
Oxygenated: Yes

So I already met the required conditions before the patch.

Conditions:
- Growing if temperature is between 20 and 30° and RAD is 0 and Oxygen is available
- Dying if temperature is lower than 0 or higher than 50° or RAD is higher than 3

My plants are dying too. O2, temp all okay, but suddenly they all died. and the farm is in a sealed cellar. It's a bit crazy if you are doin all right and suddenly all are gone. Maybe there is sittin a programmer and laughin', but I miss the fun a bit
Please check it - and disable the dying until you can handle it :steamsad:

I confirm plants are still randomly dying.
No loss of power or O2, Perfect growing conditions, yet all plants still die, except coffee and ahax fruit.

Minecraft taught me that 'fortresses' inside mountains are more defendable.
Grow Lights put off a lot of heat directly below them - it could be ariticially causing the death of plants if you have too many grouped together (heat is conveyed for upto a 2 block radius from devices, with some having more "fixed" patterns (grow light 2 blocks directly below - and upto 9 blocks on a 2 high ceiling. In other words: Watch the Lighting.) A Perfectly Square base is best given 2 large (6 Small) blocks of height between the floor and cieling - For many reasons - Including Item Placement and Growlights) Atleast now adays the Constructor is only 2 blocks tall...I remember when it was 3. Also Fortresses "inside" mountains aren't really that defensie in EGS - people can drill through that rock - and any return fire requires either a clear line of fire or a Explosion close to the base itself (potentially damaging from Friendly Fire) - The Big Thing with Minecraft was that /all/ blocks were cubes - In Emperyon the Earth is voxelized - it's not perfectly cubed - but it does disintegrate on touch with a drill)

Its a known bug some plants dieing no reason devs know about this...

Im playing Experimental RC 3, i did 5-6 harvests on my cs (wheat). Went for some exploring on a planet, came back, and everything was dead "plantdead". I havn't placed / removed any blocks, could it be related to playfields :S. I did go to godmode once in the planet after dying a couple of times, maybe godmode/dying can be a factor as well :steamsad:

Just had most of my plants die in a recovered POI ship. 6.0.15, new world. Took over the crashed DES mid and rebuilt the starboard garden pod. I had half the plots planted, and they did fine for a good ten days or more. Then I went off to work on my proper base, and when I came back all but 4 were dead. Plenty of fuel and O2, no idea what could have happened there. I will say that my base is dug into the side of a mountian, and I am also getting that "loss of O2" ping when walking around in some spots inside. But I have not noticed any actual issues with the new base, the plants there are doing ok. And that should not be having any effect on the DES, which is far enough away to be unloaded.

Edit: So after a bit of checking, it does appear that I am getting the loss of O2 from placing/removing, it's just delayed by a couple of seconds so it didn't appear related.

Yep its the placing of blocks causing the issues, but its base specific. What i mean by that, i have 2 bases on a planet 1 has hundreds of plots in, the other has none.If i add/remove blocks from the one with plots in then the plants die.If I add/remove from the one without plants then the plants in the base that has them do not die.So its the logic of checking the air tight seal, im sure devs are aware of this (i hope) but without it being fixed, they appear to written the procedure in a bad way, and may verry well need to rewrite the whole checking routine and logic behind it with a different approach on obtaining the goal (function).

I absolutely loved this game prior to the Alpha 6. I know this is pre-release so there will always be stuff going wrong. I also understand that some like more challenge and realism. But it's a game and it's suppose to be fun. No one wants to be frustrated by trying to keep imaginary plants alive. If I want dead plants I have no problem experiencing that in the real world.

If you are growing plants on Akua then all of the O2 and temperature conversations are moot. It's a tropical planet with plenty of O2, sun and rain. So growlights and pots should be all you need. There is a farm not far from my position on Akua and half of the plants are not enclosed. They just have grow lights. Not a single dead one to be seen.

So instead of figuring out some ridiculous variable, how about they just treat it as a bug and fix the problem. I really enjoyed the growing your own food aspect of the game but I don't need useless frustration.

*I'm not a great player at all, but I do have over 300 hours clocked in the game.

In Dawn of Galaxy starting base, the two lower level exit doors(side by side) are not airtight. Replace those two doors pronto and your plants should live.

Pretty sure the airtight/plantlife mechanics are still a bit buggy. Temp in DoG base stable at 71 on top two floors, even when the doors are not replaced. When I come down the stairs to the lower floor is when I see the temp fluctuation.

And watch out for that generator behind the wall near the plants :)

i have the problem that none of my plants are growing even on akura both inside and outside the green house all conditions are met and there not growin on any of my twenty plus games saves. from multyple restarts. and advice?

grow blocks are not reliably airtight...put concrete under and around them also the room must have closure on all sides..no dirt anywhere

plants uses o2 to breathe just like a human, but plants alos uses co2 to make sugar to eat, and in the proces of making sugar they also make o2
