Piss-poor documentation, I choose you!
It's not very effective.
maybe also the first time you got a new feature asap as it got its first iteration implemented in to a experimental version game could that be ?
ty for feedback
Light armor with 2 EVA boosts will protect you from -130c orbits.
for colder orbits Medium Armor with 2 or 3 EVA boosts should be enough.
correct i allready suggested to the devs to create a real space suit. but i can't promise if this ever get coded
I would suggest flashing a giant warning on the screen "WARNING WARNING YOUR ARMOR IS NOT A SPACE SUIT" but we both know people are not going to read it.
technically the coldest orbit you can get is -270° C. With heavy armor and all EVA boosts you can survive in -280° C orbits.
Or in short:
Different armor + boosters have a meaning.
No need to rage at all.
IRL yes ^^
ins pace it's very cold, but space is empty so heat doesn'T simply disappear from your suit that fast. however in some areas in space being exposed to sunlight, you would heat up rather quickly diue to the sunlight itself.
it's best to leave out that entire heat thing in space. Because either do it proper or not at all.

or add an "insulation" to suits so that they protect form both, extreme cold and extreme warmth.
So far I have not been able to survive in space in any orbit in less than Heavy armor with 4 eva boost. And not being able to change armor without a locker makes taking a POI fun when you need 4 EVAs to get to the place and 4 Armors (turrets and mini-gun drones never miss) + a Rad protection (and 4 EVA's if you breached the hull).
Armor would provide you with protection without armor boosts so It's NOT armor either, so, what is it? Ah I know it's an enviroment suit, A suit that provides Basic protection from the elemments but requires modifications to protect you from extreme enviromental conditions.
I like the Armor idea, I don't like the current setup but for the 1st run of a work in progress it's not bad, I think it would improve alot if we could change what armor we are wearing without the locker thereby allowing players to blow a hole in the side of the POI in space or on the lava planet and change from a EVA/Rad suit to an armor suit.
OR
Perhaps a Docking Block so you can blow a hole in the ship/station then "dock" to it sealing the atmosphere in (as long as the hole isn't too big).
and also
Up the base protections the suits provide so you don't die in under 2 min if you don't have the correct number of suit mods.
Are you playing on a NEW game in part 4 of EXP ?
I've just tested & in -130c orbits (akua for example) Light Armor & 2 EVA's are fine.
In -200c orbits (Skillon for example) Medium Armor with 3 EVA's was needed but radiation can take effect so Heavy with 3 EVA's is enough in -200c orbits.
