Empyrion - Galactic Survival

With a little help from Devs.
Many of us have been doing mass transit systems like a hover train and such. The two main problems that occur are:

1. The limit on the number of blocks we can place limits the length of the track.

2. The width of a block does not equal the width of 3 SV/HV blocks so the gap often means lateral movement of a hover train jams it against the walls and brings it to a sudden stop for apparently no reason.

Someone got over the second of these problems by using curved walls of the track:

Although this doesn't really solve the problem entirely since the HV is quite capable of vaulting that curved wall.

Only the devs can help us with the first problem.
My suggestions to help with projects such as this are:

1 Another kind of base block that doesn't have a core and is purely a means to landscape. This base block also does not have any limits on the length of subsequent blocks so we can have tracks that need no power that can go on for as long as we wish like roads and cannot be changed from public.

2. A means to have articulated sections. It is used as a connector so two sections can turn independently like carriages of a train rather than as one solid unit. Used with the workshop item above, it would allow the sections to turn independently as if towed with a rope from the front one.

3. A set of cube and curved blocks that have a 10 degree angle so a small curve can be put in a track for higher speed turns, each block being a 10 degree wedge but allowing subsequent blocks to go off at an angle less than 90 degrees. More wedges allows 10,20, 30 ... degree turns depending on how many wedge blocks are used. Due to the way these blocks need to be placed, a 1, 2, or 3 part wedge needs to be created for roads/tracks that are up to 3 blocks wide much like the 2 part ramp blocks. This would mean that the mesh would have to be the same as the angle of the block rather than taking up an entire cube. The road could then turn 10 degrees instead of making everything a 90 degree angle.
This would also be beneficial to ship builds etc, allowing far more diversity of designs.

4. Possibly linked with 1 above. A track block that works in conjunction with a vehicle block to allow only forward or reverse motion in a vehicle and forces the vehicle to follow the track through any turns etc. Maybe have this block be the only one that can be used with the alternate base block to make roads. The two blocks will act like a monorail system keeping the vehicle following a preset road without the need for rails/blocks either side to keep it confined. It could be possible to have a one way block of this nature so it encourages us to have circular tracks

Later additions could include a Y junction to allow two roads/tracks to converge where vehicles can follow either route by the player pressing left/right to make the vehicle take that route.

I would like to see small carriages the width of 3 passenger seats and length of one, each carriage connected with an articulated joint to the next. This would allow for smaller turns regardless of the entire length of the train itself.

+1 public transit would be useful and even more when planets are made bigger
