Water pipes and/or water prospecting
Water limits your building options somehow, because you would have to set your base near a lake. Maybe I want my base on a high mountain. I should be able to create pipes and bring water to wherever I want. Water (and other resources) prospecting would also be an interesting feature, letting you find water (in less or more quantities) wherever you want. Melting snow into water on mountains and ice planets is also another alternative

Pipes from you generator to the Base is a goo idea, pehaps with pumps and energywires so you can pump water wherever you want.
But the Idea to destroy other worlds like the earth make me ill.

I had a base on Omicron on a hill above a lake. I put down two rows of cylindrical blocks leading from the base to a solid bunker to be a pump house and then on to the lake. Purely cosmetic but it had the effect of appearing to be using the pipes to pump water for the huge indoor plantation.

That's what I would like to do, but I am interested in the practical part, too. I would try to bring the water through a ditch but I forget this is no Minecraft and the water does not flow where you want

Yes, we've asked for flowing water for a long time. I would like to see a means to dig an underground tunnel into an underground base so we can put our O2 and water (and now hydrogen) generators inside the base.

But you still have to fill the Generarors by Hand, right?

In a other discussion we suggest Solatpannels and Airmills for Energize our bases. It should give the possibity to link the generators with your base enregy, so you must not put batteries at all time in the O², Water-Generators.

Yes, generators are no different, it's just, inside the base, they can be protected from drone attacks and other players in PVP. You just have a water source to put them into inside an underground base.

The water level of the lake doesn't have to change, just generating water in a channel that has no barrier to stop the water "flowing" into it from the lake.

A flowchart I created some time back to do this:

Yes I do so either, but in real life you haven´t the time or the will to put ernergy on generators if you can link them with Baseenergy. I don´t know where the problem is. If the generators stay at baseground in the lake and is rounded by base (Steel, Combatsteel or Beton), why they can´t link with the Baseenergy. For timemanagment you have only the chance to build a constructor nearby extra for producing Batteries. This is no good managment. In survival you have reached a high level to prevent the generators by Basestructures, that anybody can say that is survival neeeds.
