Harvesting wood not working

Got my HV equipped with the harvesting module and all trees and rocks just disappear when touched.

No resources show up in my ore and wood controller either.

Any ideas?

Last time I used a harvester after the new deco block update, you had to go up on a tree gently or it would just fall over not giving any wood. I made sure I saw wood chips to show I was getting wood. As for the rocks, I did not know that you could harvest rock with the wood harvester?

Do you use a harvest container at least? You need one.
Sometimes you can see some things looking like a tree but it's in rock. I saw them often in RE, and they give nothing.

I ran into something like this the other day after I finally updated to the most recent game version. If it's like the bug I encountered, move to a different biome type and you should be able to harvest again.

I've been playing this game so long it's untrue. Everything is as it's should be. I'm not trying to harvest rocks. I'm pointing out they disappear the moment my harvester module touches them.

I've restarted, rebooted etc. So it looks like it's hand driven wood chopping. :)

2 possibilities:
a) You must stop as soon as you touch the tree, then keep pressing LMB with the harvester selected, you should hear the harvesting working, it takes some seconds then you should see '+5 wood logs' or alike left onscreen (you must have an ore and wood container!).

b) Your playfield or save file is corrupt, go in the console and enter 'playfield', this will reload the playfield. If still it doesn't work, then quit game, make file integrity check in Steam, delete saves\cache folder and restart. Good luck.

they have added collison to hv so if you hit a rock or tree the rock or tree will take damage. depending on the speed and mass. so if you are moving too fast you will hit the tree the tree will fall over and no wood is harvested also if your hv is has alot of mass even going slowly can push the tree over. smaller rocks also explode when struck with excess speed/mass. it makes harvesting a bit tedious but you get use to it.
this was done because people where comlpaining that there 50 ton poi busting super tank would get stoped dead in its tracks by a 3 foot one inch diameter twig sticking out of the ground. Now you can just crash through things with your battle tank and keep going.

I have actually seen people mention this exact same bug in other threads, not necessarily wood, but harvesting something that vanishes. never seen it in game myself though.

I've had the same problem before harvesting plants. Instead of just collecting they would disappear.

Fortunately a reloading of the game solves this problem but not the harvesting of wood.

That is an issue with the survival tool and happens when you load into a game. I have had it happen to me. A reload fixes it. Not the same issue.
