Found it, thanks!
Just leave your warp ship at the station.
Muut's problem was remembering how to get back to the Destroyed Station. I'm guessing this is before having a warp capable ship. On my first visit to Omicron Station I didn't know what I was getting into and was more worried about what enemies I might be facing than where I'd been. My recollection was hazy too and it took me a while to find the way back.
I also took a tranport up to the station with a full load, figuring I'd save time. It was really slow, and it seems to have more thrust going backwards so I reversed up out of atmosphere.
You're welcome.
At least everything we need for a good SV is still present if one wants to look for it. I have found and seen that there are many ways around the restrictions other than the no mining on Omicron. Just think outside the box.
Glad you both found your way back!
On the main floor, face the medical kiosk and look to your right to find the elevator in the corner. Go downwards from that floor and you should hear a panel pop open.
Finally found it! Thank you, you're the man!
