Spiders Keep Spawning

I've been comfortable in my little fort. Cruising the land, creating stuff. Now, I have a serious spider problem. They are spawning up out of the ground. You can hear an electrical buzzing and see a blue aura. The guns pick them off easily enough, but they seem to want to tear down my architecture, especially where the big fire power is.

Zorax are also popping up left and right. No ships. Cannons keep them at bay.

Will the spider attacks eventually stop?

You are under attack by the Talon Faction. You need to find their chief and kill him. Pretty sure the attack continues till you get rid of him. Common reason for this is killing that faction or other bad things inside their Green circle on the map including building on it.

As whiplash said, you are under attack. The Chief will be found in your vicinity, usually within 50m-100m of your base. Just go out and gun down everything your base turrets aren't finding, he may be trapped in a hole one of your guns made firing at the terrain. He looks like a regular Talon dude but with a larger headdress ( I think he is a goldish color )
While looking at your base, press "P" and go to the statistics page. Bottom right corner tells you the probability of a base attack and WHO.

Zorax - I like it, maybe they are the basterd cousins of the zirax. haha
As other have already pointed out - check your faction rating. Long term you can stop the attacks by raising you reputation with the Talon. (by doing missions or other stuff).
I think the Chief also has some kinda light on him as well so he stands out. (but I may be wrong - long time since I played vanilla)
