Empyrion - Galactic Survival

Best Blueprints
So I am back after a long absence from this game and I am in quite a loss about the blueprints today since the last time I played was before the whole Mass, CPU and shields mechanics.

I want sugestions of good blueprints for HV, SV and CV for start game, mid-game and end-game phases.

I am also beginning to explore tha Reforged Eden 2 scenario since its description caught my eye.

Any help is appreciated

For RE2 blueprints a bunch of popular authors have amazingly curated lists. I'm currently using primarily Movado's builds (some great early game ships and endgame mix in his "Deus" workshop list. I've got his Poros Deus for mining, as well as his carrier the Zeus and the automining capital Plutus Deus) with a splash of ArtemisRouge (primarily the Honeybadger for combat...upgraded that thing is a BEAST) and one ship by spanj (Rockhopper sv for mining). I also have a few of my own builds and would suggest dabbling in a creative save as well to make a few as it helps to better understand upgrading and equipping anything you may download in the future. For example there are good hovercrafts for tree harvesting as well as super early game shuttle types out there but they're not hard to throw together and you can probably build them cheaper by not including the frills/deco. I've looked at Ente's and Jrandal's builds too but don't currently have any though I know they get regular praise for builds too.

Editing to say this is by no means a comprehensive list of amazing creators and also to say a creative game can be amazing to check out the builds before you actually build them.

Make a special "Creative" save and spawn the prospective blueprints there. For free.

Then you can check them out in detail and decide what you really want.

As always, some old workshop files will be no longer compatible. Although, from Creative you might be able to make necessary changes and make a new private blueprint.

By the way, most of the RE2 blueprints have "RE2" in the names or descriptions, so you can search for them. Also it is possible to search for not-RE2, but I don't remember the syntax right now. There is a thread about that.
Biggest change since the addition of mass & volume and CPU is the need for specialization. The best designs are the ones that focus on doing one thing as well as possible, with all other capabilities being secondary concerns.

Other new things to be aware of include the tendency of generators to explode when overloaded, the need to make sure you have at least 10 m/s^2 of vertical acceleration for ever G of gravity on a planet, and the one-connection-deep-and-no-CVs-to-BAs docking rules.

Thank you all guys. I will take a good look on the BPs Calvian mentioned and test then in the creative mode, though I cant design anything if I need it (I have the creativity of a rock XD)

Can you explain please?
Think of russian dolls.... One inside another. You cannot do that type of vehicle docking in Empyrion. If you have an SV or HV already docked inside a CV, you cannot then dock that CV to another CV. You have to undock ALL other docked vehicles, then dock the CV, then dock the SVs & HVs to the carrier vessel.

The other bit, CVs don't dock to bases, whether it`s planet side or orbital.
A ship can be docked to something, or have things else docked to it, but never both at once. So you can have like a small mining HV and a transport SV capable of carrying it each docked to a hangar floor, but you have to undock both of them before you can load the HV onto the SV and fly it somewhere.

On top of this, CVs specifically cannot dock to BAs. Apparently people couldn't wrap their heads around the process of offloading a CV's small craft before docking it, so they just disallowed it.

I have a collection but its mostly old BPs or cheesy replicas. Just know Reforged Eden has been taking over the workshop and they are all solid BPs but if you want vanilla ones you gotta dig a little more.
Thank guys I appreciate all the help :)
Best thing to do, in my opinion, is sort the workshop for the top ones in the past 3/6 months. Then look for those in the proper scenario you are after.

That said, anything by Dadrick, Filbertfarmer, Ydoyouwantoknow, ProcyonLotor, Ente, and Lyfeforse are goin to be solid.
