Finding Neodymium
Hey everyone.
I am desperately trying to find Neodymium for my CV but I haven't found any yet on my start planet Orumoreth and its moon. Does anyone know, where I can find it?

Here are 3 suggestions to get Neodymium for your starter CV without mining.

(1)You can start the solo mission storyline, chapter 1 will bring you to UCH heildeberg.
After you finish chapter 1, I believe that you can recycle the thrusters of it.
It’s enough for you to produce a very early CV with 6 small thrusters(use factory), you can spawn a very small one then add blocks latter.

(2)You can fly to space, visit the Polaris Orbit Trading Station, one trader there sell some Neodymium ingots with nice price, very nice price.

(3)You can wear your armor, open your jetpack, visit the Submerged Tank with your Shotgun and some Shotgun bullets, 30 will be enough, and 60 is a decent number for this POI.
Search it until you find 3 Alien Storage.
Sometimes, maybe you can find some Neodyumium ingots in these Alien Storage.
You can bring Core and Muti-Tool for safe.

Build a warp SV and look for it somewhere else. It is not on the starter planet or moon.

you can also scrap crashed ships and POI's to get Neodymium.

In the vanilla game? There is a place on the planet where you can get it, and even if you find your way in orbit there is another place, sounds like you didn't explore well enough yet.
This assumed that you started your game at least in version 1.3+ where I know that's true.

There are no Neodymium deposits on any of the starters in Vanilla. You can get some from salvage and in POI's, but that is it. Probably not enough to make even a starter CV. The game really expects you to make a SV first and then a Warp SV next.
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

The 2 places are:
[Pol] Smelter (planet)
[Pol] Mining facility (orbit)

Both have around 1400 in stock for Neodynium. Plenty enough to advance in the game.

Thanks, I'll take a look at it!
Always have Shotgun and shotgun bullets with you.
Or a SV/HV with weapons.

Sorry forgot to say: be careful, there are some Zirax space drones in the space around the start planet.
These space drones (in the starter planet sector) have better weapon and can attack something higher than them.
But they are still bad at turning and speed. (But better than those drones in atmosphere.)

Flux Coils and Power Coils can also be looted from Zirax drones, and they should fairly regularly attack your base. I just ignore them, let my auto turrets destroy them and go out and loot when they're dead.

Oh, you are talking about buying it. I have never done that. I view it as a sort of "Cheat". Another one of the many many ways the Devs have dumbed down the game to make it easier.
There are civilization , there are Polaris Trading Station.
I believe that the business should be very normal in civilization.

Yea, but it is supposed to be a Survival game. Not Buy and Trade game. There should be no civilization on the Starter.
Talking about survival, why can we survived from these alien food, especially these food come from Legacy POI ? (Or these blocks come from Legacy POI)

I guess that's why there are Reforged Eden.

I mean, for example, the Zirax drones,
for new players, even one drone is too many.
(For those new players who are trying to understand and be familiar with this game, for new players who are busy at building their first base, yes, this is my experience )

But for players who have been familiar with this game and already have T2/T3 SV, even 10 Zirax drones wouldn't be a problem. (I always use SV to defend my base from Zirax drones.)

So....
for new players, there is vanilla game.
When you want some challenge, there are some Scenario like Reforged Eden.

Sorry, I didn't learn English very well.

Oh I see, if you don't buy them, then yes it will be very very hard to get started by finding them in great quantities :) And not only Neodynium, but also Sathium and other ingredients necessary for a CV blueprint. But at some point you need to buy stuff because there are materials that you cannot craft for the CV, I don't recall their name right now but they cost more than 15000 credits apiece IIRC, but you can find those easily at the orbital space station.
Still - shame on me because I'm too lazy - I don't know if this is all true if you build your CV from scratch without using a blueprint to spawn a CV, I think you can without exotic materials, especially if you have CPU turned off, but I'm not sure.
