As such they both have access to the unity asset store.
They are both using (at least some) stock assets from the store.
Nothing is stolen or anything like that. All perfectly normal and legal.
I have seen empyrion stuff there myself, I have seen stuff there that I have seen in other games too.
Makes development cheaper/faster when the devs can buy stuff to use in the game rather than employ someone with the skill needed to make something unique, some devs buy models, textures, even code segments from websites supplying such assets.
Everything in EGS is all paid Unity Assets / 3D model sites and paid texture sites.
The only one that I'm aware of that isn't is the hull textures with the panel lines.
