"Templates" are also known as recipes. Templates are what defines the ingredients (and process) needed to fabricate things. You acquire new templates by gaining experience and experience points, and then "spending" those points in the tech tree. You "learn" new templates. When you learn a new template, it's automatically added to/unlocked in the "menu" of every constructor that is allowed to craft the item; there is no need to manually or explicitly add any template to a constructor.
left click "PDA Info" and "PDA log" to check what did the tutorial mission ask you to do.
Sorry, I didn’t learn English very well This is my guess:
If you unlocked the portable constructor tech before the tutorial ask you to do it,
maybe this will work:
(1)Active the solo story mission, the tutorial mission will be deactivated.
(2) Then, active the tutorial mission again.
Or, tutorial ask you to produce pistol?
F3, open the weapon page.
Esc, add sufficient material into potrable constructor. (Iron, Copper and Planet Fibber/Wood).
Esc, tutorial mission will ask you to produce Pistol and bulet.
Just find the item the tutorial is asking you to craft and craft it.
That's the problem. It's not telling me to craft an item. The last item it asked me to craft was a tent, and I already did and completed that.

Once I made the pistol, it asked me to make pistol rounds after that. Yes, that really does need to be fixed. Many thanks for the info.
So glad you figured it out!!
Then tutorial will ask you to produce 1 pistol and bullets.
If you start produce pistol before hit the "ESC" key, then you need to produce pistol again ?
Just guess, need some test.
I recently freshstarted prior to this patch and wound up just putting a check on this one to get past it. Then I ran into it again with this patch, and decided to figure out what the devs did wrong.
When you get to the Titan sections.....don't click on the stations to start the dialogue. Let the game start it after a second. If you click on the station it will act like it's proceeding with the mission, but it will not progress it to the next section. The devs need to fix these confusing mechanics.
We are those noobs..... Just not sitting next to them.
They keep moving the goalpost. They adding rooms onto a house that they havn't finished building.
Tried to get a friend of mine into this game, but since I can't play it right now to help them out beyond my advice and tips, they got so frustrated with the tutorial they refunded it.
That sucks. But I can't blame them. There's a fun game somewhere in Empyrion, but not everyone is willing to cilmb that sheer cliff to reach the fun part. Especially when ants are biting your fingers and birds are pecking at the back of your neck.
Yes, exactly. This is called a "naive tester" and it is a standard test done by commercial program developers. Game devs should have at least a passing acquaintance with an actual developer... 8-)
Tip: Best to not do the first part of the game as the first job, instead do it later when you are better at the work and have figured out the best way to do things. If the new players have troubles with the first part they play, then many of them will leave and take their money with them.
Then, if there is time, go back to the part you actually did make first and throw it away and re-make it! ;-)
