Server error?!!? Need help!

I just got the game. Installed and started it up. Tried to start a creative game to see what this is all about, but I cant play the game. When starting a game, both with creative and survival I get this message popping up:
" Server error: Cannot use IP port. Please start only one server instance of the game. "

Im not even trying to start a server, but a single player game.
Have I wasted my $ on this?

Game likes to use 30000,30001,30002 ports, it also works on 26900,26901,26902 with no problems.
The game only throws that error if another program is using the port.

My suggestion is one where you might be able to learn how ports work, on this page I link see if you can find your brand of modem/router.
Read everything about it, if you just cant grasp it, grab 50$ and go to a PC shop thats not busy, a quiet one is perfect, as they have extra time, take you modem details, every detail, explain to them your problem and ask them for a 50$ to show you, not explain, show you how its done, they will just port a pc they have in there shop to show you.

I did this many years ago and the lesson I got was invaluable.

If I pay you 50$ to teach me how to port forward, my modem is here I brang it so you could show me how to port forward a game.

Its money for jam to a tech and if it works for you its worth the 50 because you can then port forward any game any time.

FIXED MY BUG/ISSUE :D :D :D

I had almost given up on this game due to the issues I had runnning it as you might have read above.
As I now am writing this, I have the game running in the background and I have to say; It looks very nice, very nice indeed.

Some of you who have been trying to help me, might wonder how the heck this newb managed to fix this himself...and to be honest, Im as suprised as you are! ( Gotta be a X-Mas miracle xD hahaha )

Here`s what happend:

I was going to play another game I have on steam, and could not connect to it due to something about my "sockets". Being the telfon brain I am when it comes to computer, I did the only logical thing. Wrote down my entire error message in google and hit enter. Found a video on youtube witch had good reveiws on it, so I took a chanse and followed the instructions given.

The game works for me now (so far) and everything looks great.

Use the search bar called 'search programs and files' located right above the windows start button. Type 'command prompt' and hit enter and the command prompt window shoulld open.

another idea - just start changing the port in the game until it works. Go to options in the startup window and choose misc tab and change the 30000 to 30001 and see. If not ok try 30002, etc.
