My small ship eat much fuel than my base...
I have make a small overcraft, and i have tested it, but after one minute i have missed fuel..., it's strange because they eat 1000 x more fuel than my base,

for each minute i need 10 x hydrogen fuel, so if i want to go to explore the land for 1 hours, it's will cost me 600 bottle of hydrogene, i don't be able to make all this in one week of playing ha ha ha

my small hoover craft go very well, but i think i will be never able to build a capital ship one day, it's will cost me 1000000 bottle of fuel by minute ha ha ha

do you put so much fuel too in your side to make your ship running?

What is the power consumption? You seem to be using normal thrusters instead of directional thrusters for left, right and reverse. Thrusters use the most energy.

There is also a fuel bug where the generator will immediately consumes some amount of fuel when you turn it on when you've powered the craft down for some time.

there is so much fuel on each planet i would just use normal large fuel packs. hydrogen just dosnt seem worth it spending fuel to make fuel just isnt worth the bother for the size of the hydrogen packs even with water as a byproduct. im sure some number cruncher will dissagree but thats my opinion large fuel packs are the way to go atleast in sv/hv

Hydrogen fuel packs provide less power than the other fuel packs! If you are aiming for a long-lasting source, you need to head for the large fuel packs, of course :-) That's why the have introduced them.

I have retry the game today, i have change nothing and it's seem now it's work normal, my power consumption are around 63 kw when all is active, and it's ask between 3 and 9% of the power depending of the action..., but if i remember well i think when i don't move, they say i have for 150 minutes of fuel now with 10 hydrogen, it's better than 1.5 minute i have the other day ha ha ha

i think i have passed a strange bug the last time, i use 5 normal truster on my hoovercraft, 2 behing the ship, 1 one each side and one other for the reverse, but in my test, i don't view any difference between the normal thruster an the directional thruster, if they have one it's mush be minime, the hoover have no more power to climb a clift or other thing, but it's a good hoover for over the water...,

for my 2 x canon i have put on the top, it's a nightmare, they are not able to kill a plant, they shoot until 15 minute and the plant continue to walk neer the ship, they can shoot the plant only when they are at neer 5 feet of the ship, but i don't care too much with this, i have put her there in priority for the drone and ennemi ship to make her able to protect me, but again the creature, the turret are a pain...

one of the thing i have view for the thruster, it's if you are neer the lannd and the hoovercraft are a litlle tilted and you don't move, the thruster put always the pedal to the metal and burn at maximum, perharps to try to stabilise the ship...,

for the fuel bug "MuffinMan" talk, i don't know, but it's perharp this they happend when i start the ship for the first time, but i have not trying to stop the ship and go make other thing to view if they consume more after some time of waiting

i know the hydrogen pack provide less fuel than other fuel, but i try to save the small promotheum pack for my tool, (drill, flatten tool and repair tool charge) it's consume more and more of small prometheum fuel pack, i use neer 30 by day for working with the tool,

for the large premetheum pack, i keep it for the water machine and h2o2 machine because they don't take the hydrogen fuel, and they don't work with solar or other source of energy, only prometheum fuel, and i don't make enought prometheum fuel for all the thing, and no time to mining only prometheum because i need other ressource for bullet, ect..., and with 3000 prometheum i don't make enought large pack to be able to take a break, and i use it only for the h2o2 and water machine,

but now my hoovercraft work more normal (more than 1.5 minute with 10 hydrogen pack) it's will be going better to go taking ressource, and i don't lost 5 day to go there and return in foot because i have used all my 100 hydrogene bottle for ten minute of play and miss fuel on the other side of the planet ha ha ha

for now it's seem well working, but i keep always 100 bottle in reserve in the ship just in case this problem happend again...

Hovercraft is more fuel efficient than an SV. Large fuel cells are what you want to be using for your vehicles (and everything else if possible). Hydrogen sounds sexy but it's the least effective fuel in the game - it's more of an easy to obtain backup fuel for when you're starved for promo (is our guess).

I have make an other test with the overcraft and they have truly a bug with the fuel, if you put fuel in the hovvercraft and start the engine, they it all of your fuel, in my situation 10 x fuel tank,

if you stop the power of your engine for some time and return when you put the power to on again, they eat all of your fuel (10 x again), ect...

to avoid this bug, when started, the hoovercraft the engine mush never be stopped, else, they will eat again all the fuel in one second...

i have make this test with the hydrogen fuel, i don't know if it make this with all the fuel but it's cost big amount of ressource...

in the same way, i have not tested the small vessel for now, but if they use the same fuel tank it's can make this too on the small ship too, you will need to never stop it and never miss fuel, but for the hoover craft, it's sure they need to run always if you don't want to lost all your fuel...

for now if you stop the engine, i suggest to put only 1 fuel in before putting the power to on, like this you lost only 1 in each time...

This bug has been around for a long time. I told you before that you had a fuel bug. =)

Don't use armored thrusters.

There is a bug, at least in multiplayer, in regard to vanishing fuel. It happens quite frequently. Players also lose items in the constructors. The fuel bug is very nasty though. I've filled a large base fuel tank and hit 'Y' and it sometimes eats all the fuel instantly. Does the same thing with ships.

I've learned to just put in 1 fuel and power up. If it instantly consumes it, just rinse and repeat. Once it stops, then I add more fuel. It also seems to help to empty your fuel storage and power down your base(s) whenever you logoff.

Why?, the armored thruster have bug too?, but on the hoovercraft they have not armored thruster.

i play in solo player, so it's seem they have the same bug, for the base, until now i don't have any problem with the fuel in solo play, but it's true i never put the power off, but if they have the same bug, if we put the power of the base to off, and put it to on more late, they will eat all the fuel in the tank in one second..., i will keep an eyes open...

for the thing i view and listen other people, it's seem all the vehicule and all the base have this problem but i have not all tested...

Well, the fuel bug is easily explained. It is probably unintentional. The off button for the base or vehicles doesn't actually turn the generator off, it effectively turns the fuel tank off, meaning the generator can not get any fuel. While the generator can't generate, the other consumers continue to consume. What you get is an energy deficit that accumulates. When you turn the base or vehicle back on, this energy deficit is immediately subtracted from the fuel tank. Sometimes, this deficit is very large and so your fuels instantly vanish.
