Andromeda Strain part 2 Hishkal?

Can we get a fix for the Hishkal spawns?
The premise of the quest is that Hishkal are overrunning the pol bases. but I've spent around 3-5 hours combing the planet and only got 5ish Hishkal to spawn. (only 2 specimens dropped from the ones attacking the pol bases)
The specimen drop seems to be very low as the drop from the base assaults yeilded only 2.
so that combined with almost no spawns makes the quest unplayable.

have combed the planet using multiple means. foot, hoverbike, sv, and even gm. still nearly no spawning on a planet that is supposed to have bases being overran.

Haven't spotted any near any of the cobalt deposits either.

Anything else than walking is just too fast for the spawns to occur. I had the same problem and resorted to get the specimens from the item menu (console).

Just fly slowly over the mountains. You'll find plenty of them.

I killed around 6-8 of them, no quest item loot yet.
