landing on the moon Akua
I uninstalled this game and reinstalled to play it again. Now at the start of the game instead of landing on a planet with resources,as before, I land on a moon with no resources and no way to get off is this a bug in the game??

Akua is a moon now. The resources will show on the map info how many deposits you've discovered and how many there are. You need to actually go find them though.

All the vanilla starting options are moons around a gas giant now.

If you haven't played since they changed the starting scenario then you are in for a lot of surprises.

The game principles remain the same although the starting conditions are different. If you have a hard time getting restarted then read my guide here:

Either your start got bugged, or you selected the wrong choice when you made the new start. Usually the default Moon Akua is lush and plentiful. But even if you are on another moon it should have some resources. Or, since you are near the beginning anyway, just make a new start.

well thank you that makes some sense, lol. however, this was one of my favorites that i stumbled on one night and i kinda miss playing it. After uninstalling and reinstalling x2 and still landing on the moon Akua instead of the planet Omicron, i've picked up a bug. oh well, nice playing while it lasted. oh yeah, Akua is lush and beautiful but there is nothing to eat and your fat butt will starve to death..lol

No bug: the game starts you on one of the four "crown" moons in the crown sector now. Akua is the easiest; the crash site where you start should have lots of plants for plant protein, to make the energy bars. Iirc, you're led to Omicron as part of the starting story missions.

Akua is correct, but if you can't find plants that you can make food out of, then that might be a bug.

Check your survival constructor tab in your inventory. Also find some rocks and you can make a portable constructor.

It's been a while since I played vanilla, but when I did, I just made and used biofuel until I could locate promethium. Plenty of trees and plant fiber plants on Akua to make biofuel.

Biofuel is the first source of power. Next you can power a base with solar.

You will also loot prometheum both from drones and from hostile bases.

Soon enough you get to places where you can mine prometheum, you are not supposed to stay on the starter location forever.

In case you don't know, you can fill a tank with Biofuel and then withdraw some in the form of Powercells that would otherwise require promethium.

Also, you can find some Promethium at the bottom of lakes and stored in abandoned Points of Interest.
