and when you pull up the name under the teleporter you selected follow, check box unchecked.
A side note though, since I posted, I have went into creative and did some experiments. Seems I have no trouble at all successfully using motion sensors for teleporters ..... even wired up a few lights to see if i was not understanding the proximity of things, but all works well in creative.
so i revisted my SP save and went to some of my other bases and attempted the motion sensors on them for my teleporters, and they work fine. Its just at this one base where it refuses to work for some reason.
I definitely am a novice at this stuff so I still not sure if its operator error, but Im starting to think maybe its some sort of weird glitch. I picked both the sensor and the teleporter up to reset logic and then placed them down and tried again, but still no luck... the sensor is one block above the teleporter on this base, so i tried raising the ceiling one block and raising the sensor but still no luck....
Only thing i can think of now is that there may be an issue with it being beside something? I know thats reaching, but everything else ive set up works flawlessly lol, so i am stumped lol
edit:i've had to replace hanger light sensor before with new ones and set them up again like new. because for some reason they stopped working. just one of them things that is rare but happens.
although, if you use a sensor, it will need some adjustments typically on your area sensing.... lol i just learned all this today in my creative save trying to get my SP issue worked out xD
BTW- if you use a trigger plate under the teleporter, there is no need to setup proximity.
I too used to use the proximity sensor until this lightbulb flashed in my head :)
The only disappointing thing about the pressure plates is there's no RMB option to have the "plate" be a full block. So they tend to mess up the ceilings of whatever deck is beneath. In which case, I'm forced to use the prox sensor.
