Saving a Blueprint in Creative
Is there a way yet to save a blueprint in creative then bring it into Survival?

Yes in Survival... What I am wanting to do is go into creative and make up a bunch of ships, save them as blueprints then go into survival and have access to them.

Has anyone used this method lately? I tried and it seemed to not work for me. Then again I probably screwed it up.

Yes I understand how blueprints and the whole factory and everything works. What I'm asking is how to create a blueprint in creative mode. Pressing alt-O to save the blueprint only seems to work in Survival.

I believe this is currently not available but does seem like a neat idea. I think there should be a redit forum post made by the developers to add an idea to the game development. I like this idea it would save me a lot of time if I could experiment my ship design in creative before applying the required resources in survival. I wasted a lot of time scraping vessels.

Save a Base/Vessel as a bluprint -> rightALT+O works in ALL modes (SP, Creative, Survival, Multiplayer). Blueprints are made available in Survival if created in any other mode.

If it does not work, please check your keybindings or SHIFT/CAPSLOCK status

I stuggled for weeks trying to figure out why the R-Alt+O option didn't work to record a BLUEPRINT. It's not 'O', as in the letter that precedes 'P' in the alphabet. It's a zero, and half the time that doesn't work. I'd suggest setting the default to some character other than zero (0) as it can easily be confused for a capital letter 'O' depending upon the font in use.

I assigned a secondary set of keys as R-Alt+P (ESC, Options, Controls) and this secondary key combo works each time. After you clear the initial confusion, the blueprint saving system is pretty intuitive; even updating, saving, and setting up the screenshot to be intitated as you save is pretty easy to figure out.

I'd either enable selection of a separate screenshot file, or set up a tooltip that tells the user that the screen will be recorded upon saving to serve as the visual for their blueprint. I had to go back and update the blueprint file so my screenshot reflected what the plans were for.

worked for me about a week ago to make a cargo hauling SV. Madse it in Cretive, saved it using the Alt plus the O (not zero key) on my PC with default key bindings. Made it in sruvivial a coujple of days latger. Alpha 6.5 or 6.6.

If it was Alt zero for you something is wrong with your key bindings, it's supposed to be Alt o, as in the letter, by default, I have EGS installed on 4 computers with default keybingings, they are all Alt o.

On a side note, this topic was over a year dead almost 2 years.

I thought that was the way it's suposed to work...it used to be like that...I don't see why not...I mean isn't that what creative is for?....

It works fine in all modes using Alt+O
