I bought the DLC to give back for the 7 years of enjoyment. Played the DF scenario once and will not play it again, so IMHO it is the DLC that does not have "usability", not the base game. While I have been playing WS scenarios for 5+ years. No DLC is needed to enjoy the game for years if it is what you enjoy and have half of an imagination.
But i accept _fully optional_ DLC, in several games i use them. If the game is really good (in my personal opinion) i also buy DLC just to support the developers.
I totally respect people saying they will buy DLC to support the Devs, but I don't believe I should have to keep spending money on a game I have already bought, just to keep playing it.
In hind sight maybe I should have directed the original post more towards the Devs.
Thanks Jalore.
You can activate some of the DLC in a survival game but yes it is a scenario. After playing it I enjoyed Stranded on Nemesis more, another EGS scenario, even though it was just a vanilla scenario.
