Leaving the Solar System - Any tips?

Got a CV in PE and looking to leave solar system and get away from the Zirax shooting at my ships. Also want to find some Neo, Zascosium, and Erestrium.

I’m not looking for a fight just want to gather and explore to get to T3 and T4 level vessels.

Find lava planets in a solar system. I've gotten plenty of the materials you mention from them. There's high radiation and fire rain/showers to watch out for. They won't damage the ship, but they will damage you.The one's I found had no enemy presence to speak of. I'd set my turrets to fire on all threats since there aren't any to speak of if those are on.

Forget lava planets (4G) if you want ressouces.
If you spend a bit time you will find every ressource outside of the lava planets.

But tips are hard, they depend on your settings.
On the official server autominers dont deplete deposits, so there it is the right way to go

I got a CV and a minimg SV. Mined all the rare ore from asteroids and gold from lava planet. Got my first T4 yesterday.

Then I went happylly do the campaing missions to end up stuck in a teleporter that doesn’t work...

My 1st SP ever, so how I got my dream T4 CV from workshop and started to trash out Zirax scum:

1. Built my 1st warp capable T1 CV, flew to the nearest NEUTRAL star system. Luckily it has Barren Metal, Arid and Alien planets among other warp spots
   
2. Landed on Barren first, HV mined one small deposit of Zas & Ere, gave me 500+ of respective bars - enough to craft dozen of autominers and SV with 6 lazer drills. Disbanded HV miner for ever
   
3. This planet also had Cobalt, Ti, Prometium and some basic bars. Plomped down 2 autominers for each res (buy/keep enough cores, like 20 in advance!), stuffed with fusion cells, then flew to south pole with night duration of 23 hrs, basically whole day, and just slept 5 or 7 nights in a row, only looting my hydroponics
   
4. Got 5-8k of every ore available on planet, plomped cheapest base with solar (no fogs in between fire rains, thanks god!) and furnace, repeated sleep week again. Kept 1-2 stacks of bars in storage, the rest went straight into factory sinkhole (the best feature of the game, basically makes huge storage obsolete - but sure not all will agree with me here). Went to orbit, spawned T4 endgame CV from factory, demolished starter one
   
5. Went to Arid and Alien worlds, repeated same routine, got all possible resources in exsessive numbers. NO planet mining past that point - universe is endless, ore asteroids are part of it, CV lazer drills are godsent
   
6. Completed quest line (except part 1 and 2 i guess - in short those that do NOT require space flights). EZ button at this stage
   
7. Went close to Zirax territory, spawned simple & stupid space solar repair base for CV nearest to the sun - just in case
   
8. Trashed dozen+ Zirax CVs in space to date along with countless planet and space POIs. Getting used and bored at this stage
   
9. Looking for capable battle CV across workshop for making Legacies a warm visit - the real end-game goal is to frag a couple of Decimators, and then land on their homeworld... and be able to tell victoty stories coming back home :)))

Generally speaking, when I travel outside of the starter system I am aiming at getting more rare ores. Gold/Sathium/Zas/Erestreum. Most of these are found in quantity in asteroids. And the quantity found in asteroids is greater than found in surface deposits. I generally will not target Iron/Copper/silicon. My CV has an advanced constructor and two small constructors, so I have the advanced turn the targeted ore into ingots while the smalls turn the excess stone into the basics.

When I venture out I will visit planets for any interesting POIs to explore/salvage/raid.

Build a simple SV with mining lasers and you can get resources MUCH faster from asteroids. Default setting for multiplayer games will respawn them, but if in single player you can edit the gameoptions.yaml file in your save game folder. Right click on the file and select edit. Find the line that says "RegeneratePOIs: False", change the False to True and save the file. Now POIs (including asteroids) will regenerate/respawn.

Just fly around from planet/moon sectors, open the map and it will display the available resources from asteroids in that sector. Fastest way to know what resources are where.

Here is an example of a super simple SV that mines extremely fast and never gets stuck. Works in space and on land

More great advice. I'm level 21 now and aim to level to 25 before leaving home solar system. I will bring some Autominer cores with me. Should I stock up on any base resources before venturing out? I've mined all the pentaxid and magnesium I can, but still could mine more iron, copper, silicon, promethium,. Not sure if I exhausted the titanium and cobalt on the moon...

I'll work on a mining SV if I can get the resources. Might have to wait till I get some of the rarer ones.

My impression is that Zascosium is tightly bound to combat in one form or another.

I am not sure all starter systems have it, but in most there is a "Planetary Remnant" poi somewhere in orbit. It has Zascosium, Erestrium, Pentaxid, and Promethium as part of the asteroid its sitting on.

however, I would assume said area is heavyly defended which is what he is trying to avoid

I get most of it at start from POIs , I hate em all simply put, natives, traders, Zirax, kill kill kill all of em ! hahaha

Yea them traders are the hardest to kill, they can one shot you lool !

But some of those POIs have so much goodyness !

The other easy target, are the power stations, I get heaps from them and they are reasonably easy to beat.

But take no prisoners !
