I haven't. Played it through once and since there is no end/way to defeat the DF, and mostly repetitive that I do not plan to do again.
Having said that I'm not at all getting my hopes up.
The DLC was promised an update with boarding parties to arrive in March, which then was postponed to the April update.
The April update still hasn't happened. April only got a hotfix and not the planned update.
So having said that, most likely the next update will be DLC yet again. Or at least the DLC will likely be the majority of it.
The only feature we know for sure will be coming to vanilla soon is the SharedData folder update, which isn't really a game feature and has to do with downloading data in MP.
I agree and sadly to me it does not matter what they add/fix for the DLC, I will never play it again. Enemy boarding my ship cinched that for sure. IMHO I believe the new influence is not that good for EGS. In the 7+ years I have been playing, I do not remember the devs ever deceiving us nor the twice a year major base game updates. New influence, focus on flop DLC, just does not sound like the devs I have came to know.
What are the odds that their FunCom partnership timeline allows for extended time between them to work on the base game?
Or is it more likely that they are going to be going from one straight into the next with no real major time for the base game between?
Or is it that the dev that past away last fall has been replaced by a Funcom replacement? Just speculation but..... something is very fishy for a company to derail after 10+ years of stable progress and acquiring a new partner!
Aww now you know we both are a couple of dogs that do not want to learn new tricks. ;)
7D2D and EGS are my goto as well. I do have others when I get frustrated with them though, like Kenshi. I am waiting patiently for Kenshi 2. Do not know why but that game is my relax away from dev/game frustration. Different but actually very good game.
As for a dog with a bone, I resemble that remark as well, but when all the meat is gone from the bone and it is gnawed to a nub with nothing new, well time to get another new bone sadly. I am almost to that point with EGS, if it wasn't for RE. I am getting on the No DLC wagon until they finish the storyline and improve the base game if not complete it. I only bought the DLC to support the devs and what do I have to show for it? Something I will not ever play again and the devs are focusing on just it and not finishing the game. If they make another DLC do you think it will be any different? Just wish they would spend this time and effort on the base game.
As for a EGS 2, well lets just say if they have the same partners I am out. I see what they have done since Feb and I do not like what I am seeing. I defended the devs and am now eating crow. (with ketchup) ;)
It is very far from what I have known or expected.
So if the game can't produce billions, they will be terminated.
By the way Starfield is now sells Quests for $7 , just for a single quest nothing else !
I usually follow game news to check the situation:
