What are the best ways to get large amounts of XP quickly?

Sure there's collecting plants or mining or killing critters or drones, but what of all the ways does it the quickest?

Kill things. Lots of things. Raid POIs and kill all the things.

Kill critters. Lizard mules and parasaurs are the easiest. Get a shotgun ASAP for this task. Allien Insects though they'll attack you instead of running and they're poisonous.

Ill a bunch of stuff with shotgun, hit a few levels. Build simple HV with miniguns on it. Go on killing spreee.

Actually, shotguns are the best thing to deal with nightmares. Even the basic shotgun's shot interrupts their melee attack, so you just wait for them to begin an attack and then shoot them.

If youre being more careful, hunt wildlife. more deadly equals more xp; picking all plants while out there.

If youre more ballsy, once you get a shotgun or assault rifle, raid pois. (Get in fast and close to the walls to avoid turret fire and clear them out on foot.
Once you get a decent cv or sv you can take your time and take out the defenses first

Or dig under, and pop uo at the outside wall and find your way in.

lvl 1-3 (maybe 5) Pick plants
Lvl 3 or 5 to arround 12 Kill predators and other animals with SV
Lv 12+ Fly to a lava planet with a 4G SV and kill Zirax Patrols

A shotgun and sniper rifle does wonders in an Elder Tomb. It's an even better solution if you also want to raise faction reputation.

Nope... youll need to use mini gun from SV or hand held weapon.

Pretty sure you DO get exp from turret kills, but you have to be the one manually operating the turret.

Haven't played for a couple months but best way used to be grinding zirax ground patrols with SV. You can far out range them and you gain way more xp than from critters. They also seemed to be continuously spawning around some harder POI's on starting planet.

Kill Golems. Go to a Polaris base and just walk around and kill them and then also get good rep with Polaris. At lower levels 3 or 4 kills gets you a level or two.

For more strafe near a base with troops on the ground. Go to a zirax zone, stay away from a base but shoot everyone on the ground. Lots of xp.

Also do missions.
