Radiated Fog appeared at my base on my starting planet?
I went for a nice warp around the galaxy to get some Neodymium and Sathium, came back to my capital ship that I parked on my starting world, and now everything is covered in radiated fog ...wut?

There are two types of weather:

Biome-specific weather, where one biome will always have a weather effect while you are in that biome (radiated zones, for example always have radiated fog, or the pole fog at the poles).

And planet-wide, which is randomized weather set according to the playfield file. This weather is global on the entire planet and changes over time.

Radiated fog can be found in the radiated biomes, or randomly appear over the whole planet for a set period of time.

It just went away? is it just a rare weather phenomenon? The only other place i've seen radiated fog seems to be permanently covered in it.

The fog's back?

Does it have to do with leaving CV thrusters on?

Is it a default starter? and if so wich one?

There are different weather effects. That is one of them. :D

I'm on Amitav, I'm pretty sure it's a preset. The fog keeps appearing a few minutes after i turn on my thrusters

Weather is randomized according to the playfield files. It has nothing to do with anything you're doing.

If you select the map, you can see detailed weather information about the planet. Im not sure on normal difficulty, but i think its a couple days into a new game before radioactive fog comes but is random after that,

Just one of the weather effects, happens sometimes.

I didnt know it would happen on a default temperate starter, but then I have not tried that for a wile.

They removed the weather info from the map.

On starter planets it will kill off your crops, not enough to make you ill.
But build a shower just in case anyway.

On temperate planets, radiated fog is a common occurrence(in my experience). Light - medium armor turns it from a threat to a cool background color. Furthermore, wut- is spelled 'what' not 'wut'.
