So they broke RE and all other Community content!!!!
So it is not bad enough that they did not fix the game before putting Paid content out there. They did not even complete the core game first. Now they have broken everything the community has shared with us!!! How convenient that only their content works. Seems like this helps push their DLC toward people that find RE better content.

Seems to me this is a great scam and in a week or so they will have fixed it. Meanwhile this boosts sales to their pockets. This is just becoming more of a joke with every passing day.

Do we as a community want to tolerate this?
How do we show Eleon that we are tired of the lies they produce?

Welcome to PC gaming! Make sure you redownload your mods and such after every patch as soon as their creators update them.
not to forget the anoyance, of patches etc being shoved down our throuts, and no option to stay on any patch that feels ok, but being forced it on

Yeah read the thread they broke it not something the creators can fix apparently if Eleon is saying they are working on a fix. No point in trying to defend these people. I realize you may not have been around long I bought this game the day it released and use to love it. Now with all the broken promises and unfinished broken content I can not longer like it. Add to that they break all other scenarios with their DLC, that seems to be too convenient for them to not be intentional.

Oh they use to maintain that option a while ago I guess that stopped so they could force their DLC on unsuspecting people. To think I was going to buy the DLC if only because the original game was only $19.99 for me and I have over 5500 hrs in it.

Then play vanilla for a while. Trust that community creators will do what they must to adjust. They're a tougher bunch than that.
I take it the OP has never played any other game that has DLC or updates that brakes mods! Fallout, Elder Scrolls, NMS all brake mods when they update. Some mods take months to get updated before they can be used again. In-fact I've had to abandon some of the mods used in NMS due to the fact that the mod creator has never updated after a major update to the game! Mods braking after updates happen all the time to a vast array of games not just EGS. In the meantime, whilst awaiting a fix, i'm having another run through Vanilla - and will play the DLC when i get around to it.
I tried to warn the community to make a backup of the game the day before the DLC release just encase Eleon has become exactly like Funcom for this very reason. What I did NOT expect was for Eleon to suddenly start calling this DLC an expansion and say that future development will advance based on it thus making it a forced purchase.

Eleon is now on my never buy from again list and the people posting in this community are the WORST kind of liars.

DLCs are additions to a game, Expansions are only a must own if you want more story content or extras. This is not a persistent world game like an MMO AND this game is NOT EVEN COMPLETED so for any game content to be locked behind a DLC is pure 100% Funcom level evil company design that FEW companies practice.

My savegames of custom scenarios still work perfectly. In SP mode. Oh, you don't already have a savegame? Too bad...

Those are some brutal accusations. However, It was the first thing that crossed my mind once i realized all the big mods were broken. But then the idea of alienating a vast majority of players would be extremely stupid. Sounds like something Bud Light would do. Anyway, I'm not convinced that they did it on purpose for that reason.

No need to argue about that @everyone. A fix for that issue is already in the works.

Big apologies for that inconvenience :(

Did they say that?
I dont recall them saying it would be a Expatiation that they are building off of. I remember them saying it would be a DLC that was just an optional scenario if they are doing a 180 now and saying nope its required that insanely scummy, and i would like to see where you got that.

Seriously, if I would've released any code, or software update, to a client, like you did with this last release, I would've been fired and sued before my finger left the ENTER key for the upload.

Even your very own Solo Player Scenario, for the new content, is so full of bugs, white blocks, and even the STATISTICS Tab key crashing me to the desktop, is so disgusting poor (most likely NO) QC that it tells me you all didn't even do group changes/system testing.

At this point, an apology from you all is patronizing. You should refund all DLC purchases and make the DLC free.

I just wanna hope this is a one off and that scenarios won't break again after each DLC patch.
Greetings

If you use mods turn off auto update on Steam then wait for your friendly mod provider to update their mods. Golden rule of mod use!

The developer is not responsible for your mods usage they have enogh to worry about fixing their own bugs.

A BIG THANK YOU to the developers from me for a very fun DLC cheers guys! :partyboo:
