Fix off centre blueprint
Make sure you have a blueprint of the ship/base, find it's name by pressing F2.
As usual anything with spaces then use the single-quotes:
In the console type
Let us know if that does in fact work and I can update the guide I lifted it from.

You can however change position of the base in all axes x,y,z, e.g.
setposition [ID] y-1
which will sink the base more in the ground; repeat in the console with Down-Arrow + Enter key. Change the values if you see fit.
When you spawn a base it's very useful to go in the personal drone view with F5 and move around so you see all parts of the preview.
The setrotation command rotates the whole ship, not merely the core. Please have all the facts before you try to lead others on the path of misinformation.
It's useless to respond to me, I have you blocked since long. I just routinely check wether you exagerate in insulting in which case I report you, so watch out. You are just in the norm this time.
Report me all you want, but you are still wrong.
You have blocked me, so why do you care? I know why, because you consistently and routinely give false information. If you think reporting me changes this, think again.
I'm not a regular player of the game anymore, but just watching the tut by Spanj, yeah, that will probably be the right way to solve this problem, remove the core rotate the model and then save it again, that does seem to be the easy solver.
If you respawn, don't be in god mode and hit O to stabilize yourself before spawning.
It's the simplest and fastest solution instead of feedling around, just ignore the troll in post #5, he's in the wrong movie anyway talking about a ship instead of a farm in space.
As I said - and as OP justly said: the setrotation doesn't work.
This use case is NOT the correct way or place to use it.
It never worked for this because it was never intended for that.
It's a coincidence that before posting my responses here (and that was the reason I posted) is that I spent 1 hour in Creative figuring how to rotate a structure planetside - the place where it should work. I succeeded 1 time and the command did work and showed results, alas you cannot repeat the same command to continue rotation (as opposed to setposition which works perfectly).
So for me this feature is bugged or call it whatever you like, nobody should lose time with it. And I never said that it was a good solution anyway.
You shouldn't use commands like that in survival play throughs.
i for sure have exagerated saying that setrotation is useless, that was more out of frustration, just because I cannot use it doesn't mean it's not useful...
Why not? I assume there is a technical reason rather than style choice/"it's cheating".
