Possibility to switch inertia dampers on or off
That is one of the most useful things you can do in space and I actually miss in this game. It is very helpful in battles, where you can switch off your inertia dampers for drifing in the one direction while shooting in another one, or even by saving up fuel at long range flights.
I am sure that feature will bring some complications, like e.g. ships that are endless drifting into outer space or the question if players can walk around in CVs while they are flying, but maybe the great devs of this game will find solutions therefor. ;)
First I am just intersted in if someone else would like to see this feature in Empyrion and if it is maybe planned to get implemented in a later state of development.

I really need this in game. I made some experiment deactivating all directional thrusters, leaving only the main thrusters active.
The result was inertia flying in Empyrion.
If we could have inertia dampers off, i would really be very happy.

FOR NOW, the best way is this:

any "breaking" thrusters you have, place them on their own power grouping.
when youre in transit, simply turn them off.

when you need to slow down, turn them back on.

name the group: "01 Breaks" so they will be at the top of the menu when you press "p"

closest thing you can get to what youre after for now :)
