Derelict Ship Mission
So I've been playing through the story missions, and I made it to the Alien Derelict Ship mission... That THING was the biggest, pain in the *Blank* Ever! I could deal, with all the nightmares, alien assassins, overseers, etc. That was fine. But it was a mission of "find the next lever. Oh by the way, you're going to have to explore every nook, and cranny, and redouble your steps along this giant behemoth just to find your way to the next trail crumb." I never did actually beat it the proper way. After 2 and 1/2 hours into this, and after pain stakingly arriving into the sealed cargo area, only to find ANOTHER dead end, I threw my hands up, turned on God Mode, and clipped till I found the end of the level.

Couple of questions: Where or what was I suppsoed to do, in that dead end cargo area? (This was after "Purging" it or something like that.) Second Question: Was I supposed to blow up the Derelict Ship? Finally the quest updated, and I got the next quest, but it felt... incomplete. So, I'm left wondering if I missed something?

A lot of people only complete half of the plot on that one. It's not bad if you do it backwards, but because the game has terrible "loot" drops configured it's not worthwhile running the gauntlet a second time just to finish it properly. You will find a few thread here in the past on tip to complete that mission, but if you got the final loot container, you are doing OK. My only solution has been to take bucket loads of ammo , medkits and salami with. I have like many tried the brute force explosives way, but it's just not worth it that way.

Is it viable to park a SV outside and drill through blocks?

there is a landing bay, enter through there Anyways else of getting in, as alluded to is going to spoil the journey. A small CV with a respawn chamber is advised. If using an SV, I think a HV and a respawner can be docked to it?

The only real issue I had with the new derelict in experimental (aside from generous portions of explosive blocks) was a Polaris mech popping up in a combat zone, catching a shotgun shell, and tanking my Polaris standing. That got a console correction right quick.

Heavy armor, heavy weapons, lots of ammo, and lots of meds got me through.

I enjoyed the new ship. I thought it was pretty well done. Lots of fun and a few jump scares. Did the old ship soooo many times it had grown tedious.

Google Translation for us English Speakers:
"I, too, got stuck in this mission at the moment when cargo compartment 4 exploded, and what to do next or where to go is not clear.

p.s. And that's all, I found where to go - you have to go back down where the console is surrounded by alien *crap*, and such an inclined rise with garage doors."

No. The blocks in this POI are indestructable. Probably so we can't accidentally blow up an important piece while navigating this labyrinth. So no drilling, or blasting your way through to wherever you want.

Liked the new ship way better than the old. Some serrious time went into updating it. But it is still one heck of a mess to work through. I park a CV over it so I can transfer loot directly to the ship and have a safe respawn point. Also useful to store extra ammo and medical supplies because you're going to need them!

Would be nice if there was a big payout at the end for completeing it, that part is still a little lack luster. But over all the mission fits the story line they're creating.

Oh yes, it fits much better that's for sure. I'm trying to think of how they could make it a little easier to figure out where to go so I don't feel like I have to scour the massive ship twenty times to find the subtle thing that's different. That was the part that got old for me. But otherwise, I enjoyed this place, it just would have been nice not to get and feel stuck for a long time. My patience only goes so far.

I made it as far as the warp drive for the ship, as soon as hanger door blasted and I could see space I was out. I think a very much cut down version for the story mission would be OK, it is a clever POI and others can finish it if they want the loot etc. But like you said its just excessive abominations and levers and is a very steep learning curve from the previous missions and just seem out of place

Glad these seem to work for some. I've had to keep forcing the missions to complete due to glitches, just to continue. And I'm just now getting to the Titan mission, after having to force the last one to complete. The whole interaction at the Refinery broke and I couldn't get the responses from the NPCs to continue after getting the platinum bar. Seems you can easily break much of the story without much effort.
