Pentaxid Farming in 2023

Whats the best way to farm pentaxid? Lake diving on Akua can't be where it's at.
There's alot of guides and thing out there but it's hard to tell what is current.

Best way to get pentaxid is to mine asteroids

Edit : you can also get some pentaxid out of alien containers on POI, but it's not a consistent way of getting it

There are a couple deposits on Masperon that will get you started. I think the biggest ones show up on barren planets. I usually just buy the ore from mining traders on stations anymore. They sell plenty.

if look at some lakes"and land" you see smoke plumes coming out of the lake or land vents. you will find that at that spot will most likely be pentax or promethium to gather. so you do not waist time swimming all over if land running all over.


some might consider this a bit of a cheesy tactic. but you can go to a space station and fill up your pentax tank. then remove the pentax to a container controller and have the space station fill it back up. remove it, and do this over and over. good for early game if got the credits. will erm buy you some time, for you to find a pentax asteroid. can do this with fuel also and o2 and ammo...

As Jalore was saying, the best way to farm pentaxid for a while now has been to not farm pentaxid at all.
Station services is the answer.
Grab just enough pentaxid to get to the nearest friendly trading POI that has station services active and then just refill your tanks.

Then empty your tanks manually into cago, station services refill again, repeat.

Credits are limitless from selling things to traders.
It might be cheesy but it's an actual intended game mechanic.

You can do this in real life, with a little equipment, so I don't consider it "cheesy" at all. If you want to follow -all- the laws, then get an extra Pentaxid tank to move it to. That way you are covered when they come to inspect your ship. 8-)
