Clock running backwards. Normal? am I not understanding something?
So, I'm new. I'm playing survival on a forested starter? planet.
The day night cycle was working as expected.
Ten .... I arrive at a POI and begin to raid it time is 1.30 it daylight although it seems like afternoon sun. Within a very short time its dark I look at the clock (top right) it says 11.30. I get killed, respawn nearby grab my backpack and wait nearby for morning so I can continue the raid but, morning never comes. I decied to go back to base. I figure its been night for about 24 game hours. I'm looking at the clock, its says 9.30 then 9.29. Its running backwards?
Is this a normal thing. Something to do with the system that it can be dark for days or that time runs strangely. Am I just missing something? I tried relaunching the game but clock is still running backwards. Maybe its a timer not a clock?

There is a little icon next to the time with an arrow pointing either up or down. The timer is counting down to when the sun will rise (up arrow) or set (down arrow). Going East or West on the planet or moon will change the number as well depending on if you are heading towards the sunny part of the planet or away from it.
So if it's dark but nearing sunrise and you head west you will prolong the night as you move further into the dark area and away from sunrise.
Looking over your times it sounds like you hit that poi with 1:30 of sunlight left and then it became dark. When you looked at the timer next it said you had 11:30 until sunrise. Back at your base you had 9:30 until sunrise.
