how to spawn a stack of items via the console? (creative menu is irrelevant here)
Ive tried "give item X <item>" and "give item <item> x"

But the former only breaks the command and the latter only ever gives 1 item. is there a way to get multiple items from the command?
Im trying to spawn in alien objects and ammo but the creative menu has them expunged from the list. And as such alien items can only be spawned via the console.

Note: Please give me info about the item spawn syntax and dont tell me that the items im spawning dont exist or to use the item menu.

The items im spawning do exist and they are excluded from the item menu otherwise I wouldn't be using the console to spawn them.

I want answers about the item spawning a stack via commands not the itemmenu

Have you not tried consulting the console commands themselves?

For example, typing
help give
That will give you examples of how to use the command correctly, along with its sub commands typically.

I'm not at home currently so can't give you the exact syntax right now, but the help command should sort you out.

Typing help on its own lists the commands.
Typing help followed by a command gives specific examples of how to use said command.

I saw your posts on reddit as well. It's a shame in 3 years time you never got better answers. Lol

You were already answered on Reddit, both 12 hours ago, and 3 years ago where you asked the exact same question again and since you insist on using console commands and spamming your question everywhere because you don't like the answers:

There is absolutely no way to spawn an entire stack of items using console commands.
You can only obtain 1 quantity of an item per time you run the command.

There are several, extremely easy ways to do what you want (enabling alien turrets for player bases without even needing the ammo and/or giving yourself the ammo needed to operate them) but as long as you refuse all answers that are not using a console command you will be unable to do this and you discourage those of us who do know how to do it from helping you.

Use Enter key after each command to repeat it. Make a script...

I mean there's way easier ways than that, but I suppose if they want to do it the hard way. :steamhappy:

Sorry it's the enter key, not spacebar (corrected above).

Well no, the easy way is not even using a console command. Would take them like 2 minutes of work to set up then they could give themselves however many of those items that they want. But that requires actually having access (direct or remote) to the server itself to do what is needed.

Or I suppose they can sit there spamming a command over and over again.

Isn't there a special tool to help server admins? I recall several tools on the official site. IDK if it helps for that purpose though.

Well yes, that is one option among several.
But since the original poster insists on doing it via console command and no other method, they are stuck. :D

(And I am very suspicious of this whole thing)

I would love to know what the alternative is because you seem to know something reddit doesnt.

To date reddit has not given me a viable solution, and not one person has suggested configuring the server to make it so that alien turrets dont require ammo, as it stands you are the first person to actually suggest that.

Ive already explained why im using the console and why the creative menu is useless here. And my post specifically states to not suggest the item menu because its useless. Or to not state that the item doesnt exist. Those are statements that were made SPECIFICALLY because of the non-answers I got from reddit.

you seem convinced ive been given a viable solution from reddit which I havent.

So please, enlighten me on the server side solution instead of being passive agressive.

Dont care about being "noticed" i posted here because i hated the non-answers I got from reddit and there seemed to be more people on steam asking about console stuff than on reddit.

Ill start researching that, thank you, so far i had only found macros as a solution.

which alien objects are expunged from the item menu?

I thought they were all just nested under block groups.

Alien base components, weapons, and ammo for those weapons.

The alien bases are using a unique turret variant that uses unique ammo.

Me and my friends overtook an alien base as ours but doing so did not switch the existing turrets to the player faction.

So i had to spawn in the alien turrets only to find that they use a unique ammo type.

This is where my question comes into play that ive been trying to spawn in stacks of ammo for these turrets and then crafting the player equivalent of that ammo and deleting it to facilitate resource use.

But the console only lets you spawn one unit at a time.
