E1.9 Starter Planets - Getting Gold... How?
So to repair the Destroyed Transport in the Asteroid belt you need the EVA booster or you just die...
Except to build it you need 1 Gold ingot , which takes 5 gold ore..
If you're exceptionally lucky you may find a Gold bearing rock at the bottom of one of the deep lakes .. but this doesn't yield 5 ore..
So how do you get the remainder of what you need? Or is there another way to et the EVA booster?

When I played the vanilla start in 1.8 I ran around the poles of Akua looking for gold rocks.

You can find gold surface rocks on Masperon(sp) as well. Also looting POI's will get you what you need be it either gold bars or EVA. I found more than what I needed raiding Masperon Swamp moon.

This question is answered simply by playing the game fully, meaning EXPLORING.

look around the arctic areas for gold surface rocks, they hide in tree stands.

I have run around both poles on Akua.. the only gold rock is in the non-mineable area..
As for Masperon, none of the POIs that are neither nests/spider nests, I've been in so far,, and that includes the crashed Capital Ship, had either gold or the EVA.

If you can't be bothered to provide a constructive answer, then don't bother posting.. Posting just because you like the sound of your own voice isn't constructive.
If i hadn't already been exploring and not found what I needed then I wouldn't have bothered asking.

My advice to simply explore is the best advice you've received. Being told to "look in the arctic regions" is as much false as it is true, and if you'd explored the four moons and been observant you would know that already. What is found on any given planet or moon varies from one biome to the next, AND the biomes and their contents varies from one planet type to the next. What you'll find underwater or in a polar-adjacent biome on one planet may not be the same on another.

Again, exploring is how you learn this, not by asking questions in a forum where you can't judge the credibility of the answers from other players who may or may not know much more than you. There is no other point or purpose to the game past exploration, so you'd best get accustomed to it.

Did they remove the abandoned POI's on Masperon?? Those are the ones I am talking about. They have many nasty enemies.

It's an itty bitty moon now. There's no room for such things, nor do they fit with the new "vision" for it. It may have the same name, but it ain't yer momma's Masperon. Still risky to go out carousing at night, though.

Your first sentence is questionable, it's fine to have an EVA booster but you don't have to if you are quick, and if health starts to fail you can return to your ship or use some medecines or beverages to stay longer outside. This would allow you to explore the Transport and more importantly something you are not speaking about because seems like you didn't explore the orbit enough.

There is that abandoned drone base. That's got gold bars in it.

I don't even worry about boosters anymore until I can reach a trade station. Then I'll buy a full selection. An EVA is nice in places in Crown, but not required for anything. A bunch of hot beverages is good enough for Ningues.

Glad they left that one. Wow such a shame, you could learn a lot looting those POI's and get really good equipment as well. Sure helped to start your journey.
Been play RE, guess I will have to go and see how much more they dumbed down the starting area. Wish they would just change it back and go with the main tutorial for beginners.

It's all still there, in terms of the playfields. Just need to change Sectors back to what it once was. I'd vote for even more flexible options as were discussed recently. Ashon II Orbit is a nice change, but once you've done it it's no longer a change. I'd like some serious randomness in the process. If a player knows that every start to the game will be the same thing he's seen before, that's a whisper in one ear not to even bother with yet another. Being able to expect the unexpected helps the game retain some newness.
Best bet for gear is building a few hundred console deco blocks, selling them to a settlement, and buying whatever you need from traders. It helps your confidence in a POI to know you have thirty repairs worth of heavy armor in reserve.

While I understand it is all still there, I personally am tired of starting in the kiddie pool to get to the game. I know how to swim and want to dive off the deep end. Did Ashon II and enjoyed it, but as you say got old.
That is another reason why I like RE. At least you can choose where to start with at or over 12 different planets, varying in difficulty. From easy to rogue. I enjoy the Dark Rogue when I need some venting.
