The files are shared in the cloud for those who want to learn from them. (I'm dragging my feet on updating it for 1.10.1.)
My profile has a GD link to a mirror of my live scenario files. For this purpose the file you'll edit is EClassConfig.ecf and the property that governs this is TimeStayAfterDeath. So, you can either download and peek at my file or just go for it and edit your default one. The file WILL be overwritten by both patches and file Verifications, so you'll need a backup copy to preserve and re-merge your changes (with WinMerge) every time an update changes the default file (you MUST carry over unrelated changes introduced in the file).
Since I haven't accounted for 1.10.x yet, my current file is obsolete, and I recall that quite a bit was added to that file in 1.10.
\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\383120\2550354956\content\configuration
Open the file with a text editor (I recommend notepad ++) and search (ctrl+f) for:
TimeStayAfterDeath: 120 /* sec */
Replace with:
TimeStayAfterDeath: 600 /* sec */
I would also recommend instead of modifying the files in the workshop folder, to make a local copy that you can update when you want to instead of automatically.
copy the entire 2550354956 folder into your scenarios folder in empyrion's directory:
Steam\steamapps\common\Empyrion - Galactic Survival\Content\Scenarios
Give it a name, such as Reforged Eden Local or whatever you like and modify the files in there.
This would also leave backup copies of the unmodified files in their original location in case you need them.
