invisible blocks issue
ok, 1stly i know the blocks go invisible when over 125 blocks away from the core in any direction..

2ndly my cv is not anywhere near this big and blocks seem to be randomly going invisible in the middle near the core!.

so, is there a fix i have tried blueprinting the cv and relogging/ shutting down the game completely etc. same thing the cv respawns from blueprint with all the invisible blocks invisible..
kinda annoying to happen as all i have done is the engine room area lol..

current dimensions are as follows
17,30,16

as you can see not very big at all, no where near the limit of 125 blocks long or wide etc..

any advice/ help appreciated.. thanks.

New one.

Can you post your full system specs ?

Do you have a log file or have you started the game since?

If your having the problem all the time, start the game go and park your character right near the blocks that are not rendering and exit game, then go to the Empyrion folder, C / programfiles86 / steam / steamapps / common / Empyrion Galactic Survival / empyrion data ...output_log

Than post that log file here in the bug section of the developers forum...

i reported this to bugs on main site forums will wait for them thanks to piddlefoot advice..

blueprinted it.. closed the game down.. exited game completely.. restarted game deleted ALL old saves made new game "creative" spawned blueprint in new game LOL.. same results, obviously no1 can read today i guess :/.. except mr piddlefoot..
1 would expect the reply to the quote in my above post to mean yes.. yes i did!! LOL..

next up a rash of comments like its pre alpha, bugs like this happen and i should get used to it or quit complaining?!!.. etc and so forth.. sigh the steam community at its best..

If it's any consolation, I also thought JH Elfnessa's response was stupid, since you can clearly see from your post, hours in game and activity on the forum that, duh, you tried that. What kind of blocks? If they're all the same kind it may be a texture loading issue, you could try verifying files thru steam.
I wasn't planning on a smartass "it's pre-alpha, deal with it!" comment... but if you insist I'll edit my post to add it...

its not a question of reading, it's a matter of you never stated the first time that it was a new game and you deleted all old saves and started fresh.

Go into better detail and realize what your writing next time and you won't get people who ask questions of the sort. Clear enough?

hey good point mr feanor_269 i have for the last couple of hours been testing.
new design and same happenings have occured..

"truss blocks" large quanities of them is used in the blueprints some 1500+ give or take today.
might be that there is some kind of limit to these? maybe like you say a rendering issue or block limit not sure only devs will know i guess.

not many armour blocks on this new design test maybe 100-150 ish rest of the blueprint is truss blocks.
old design from yesterday is maybe 500-600 armour blocks and the rest upto around 3k as truss blocks again.. some others was used but mainly rcs and other item blocks like fuel containers etc.

as it happens i have not used the truss blocks before yesterday so maybe its a case of those?.
1 thing is clear the blocks are there at least stopping me passing through them, but just invisible and the design itself is not much about 20,30,10 in size.

Truss Blocks, that's it, remove this Blocks and your issue is solved, and the Old Windows with this Jalousine have a Limit, remove it too and sorry for my bad Engish :)

yeah imnot gonna remove 1500 truss blocks lol. just way to long winded to do such a thing haha, but thankyou sas berty for the intel :)

trouble is i liked the idea of the truss blocks for hull space fillers and such for weight limiting.

Truss blocks maybe missing a LOD model by the sounds of it or its not rendering the LOD for you, which might have something to do with the specific technology capabilities of your video card specific.
Im just guessing though, with alpha just days away make sure you have a blueprint of that structure or its gone for ever.
It could be a useful map for the developers to track down the problem if its still an issue after alpha is pushed out, is there any chance you can upload the map to ''dropbox' so we can take a look at it ?

Dropbox is free and its the system these developers use when we share maps or builds in testing.

Not sure if it is the same issue, but I have invisible blocks, or phantom blocks appear in conjunction with a bug in symmetry mode. Certain 2X blocks that are known to cause problems with placement- engines, and 2X2 windows for example.

When I forget to turn off symmetry to place these items, sometimes there will be an invisible, phantom block where the second, mirrored item should have been. Sometimes I can remove the invisible block at the site with the R&R, sometimes I have to use symmetry on the other side to remove the original placed item, and that removes the invisible block.

Always it was in conjunction with symmetry and 2X blocks till today. I visited a friend's base and there appeared to be (truss) blocks missing on the landing pad. I tried to replace them, but there were invisible blocks in the way. I could remove the invisible blocks and then the wireframe of my new blocks would show blue- like they were ready to place. But when I clicked to install it, it immediately went invisible. You can walk over it and not fall in. no 2X blocks were used anywhere close.

I did some other work at the base and used truss blocks, I do not think either of our bugs are related to the block type.

i dont use dropbox, but i have a mediafire account its basically the same thing just a file hosting server for downloading shared files etc. thanks for help and advice btw much appreciated.

I think he means the blueprint:
Empyrion - Galactic Survival\Saves\Blueprints
and the log:
Empyrion - Galactic Survival\Empyrion_Data\output_log.txt
I wouldn't mind seeing the blueprint if you want to upload it to the workshop, maybe see if it's system dependant?

The Problem are the Truss Blocks, remove this and all other Blocks appear, it is a Limit from this Truss Blocks and Illuminated Stairs/ Blocks, but no Message in Game, maybe a suggestion to the Devs from Eleon to intigrate a Message on Screen.
