Removing placed blocks?

Have spent many hours reading and watching tutorials. But the one thing I havn't figured out is. How do you delete or remove a block once it is placed? Have not read or seen this anywhere. So hoping someone can enlighten me a bit.

The Multi-tool removes blocks. Left mouse button removes, right mouse button repairs.

In creative, shift-right click.

I ran into the same issue today. When you press TAB you will find the research screen where you can "unlock" certain items, including the multi-tool.

Personally I think it should be part of the starter gear or at least be in the templates in your emergency constructor.

Thanks for quick reply. Didn't try the multi-tool. Only been using it for lawn mowing.
