This game is about immersive survival and building yourself up over a timescale. Manage the time with other activities and such.
If most of the game is not important to you, then I think you need to find another game to play.
But like Master Dan says, there's a lot to the game besides leveling (and you hit the level cap rather early).
Plant plenty of wheat, Durian, Pumpkins and Tomato's. Then when you harvest you will gain lots of xp (60 per plant) as well as being able to stock up on canned food that will last a long time. Then you need to build the Skimmer Miner Mark I which is simple to operate and gives you a LOT of ore for little work.
Don't forget to enjoy the game too, whilst you're about it.
This. Kill things. Level 20 within 1 hour.
hahaha LOL !
