does your computer meet the minimum system requirments?

Try your antivirus software too. Thermida needs permission to run i believe.

" Themida is a software protection product designed to prevent software from being "cracked" " --said someone on a forum here http://www.dslreports.com/forum/r21106446-Is-Themida-a-legitimate-threat

Have a look at this thread on the developers forum there might be a solution in there for you not sure I didnt read through it all but this Thermida has been a problem for people before with Empyrion.

I asked a dev about, so it may be a resolution ; Try to temporary deactivate your Viruscan and protectionsoftware your using and see if you still got the expections.

I dont use any anti virus and got this problem, heres how I fixed it

I got this error and I fixed it (for now at least) by uninstalling the game, then going into the Steam folder and delete the remaining Empyrion game folder, then reinstalled it and the error was gone

Flashback : found this thread after seeing the same error repeatedly (But in version 4.4.0740) and unable to start now because of it.
Game has been very stable for me with minor issues sometimes not connecting to or seeing servers at all sometimes for MP, but otherwise fine. Going to try the same delete game folder trick and then report back.

I had this isdue this morning. Multiple restarts to no avail.
Un-overclocked the timings on my memory and it works fine now?
I will put them all back and see if it works now, then report back...

It's not you. It's not your system. It's not anything you've done. It's idiotic EAC and the devs who chose to use that problematic piece of excrement. Sometimes it will work for you, sometimes it won't. From what I can tell, it seems to be hitting mostly people with Windows 7, but there seem to be a few having issues that are running something else. You can run it without EAC if you use the executable in the folder, but that's not a work-around, and it won't help you on anywhere that requires EAC to log on. It will probably vanish with the next patch - with any luck that will be tomorrow. No comment from the devs, but that's pretty typical of german developers. It is almost certainly cause by something updated in EAC, and unlike the game itself, you don't get to see those updates.

This is what happens when you require 3rd party software to launch you own. It's sloppy, stupid, and completely preventable. They brought in EAC because they couldn't patch the holes in their code (and from what I've seen, EAC is a speedbump, not a blockade). So now, instead of just the complexities of launching through Steam (which has been an issue in the past, remember), yet another third party program must work perfectly with both.

EAC and Themidia are totally different pieces of software.

No, they are not.

Themidia is software by Oreans Technology used to prevent software cracking, and was present long before EAC was added. Oreans website lists a copyright date of 2004, so I'm going to call that the founding year.

EAC is anticheating software written by EasyAntiCheat LTD (established 2013, but the software dates to 2006 before the company was founded to take it commercial) to prevent cheating and hacking.

Different software.

Same error since today

same here also, on Win10

Hey it seems that the Dev's don't really care about this they already got our money why fix a game breaking bug/crappy EAC that might mean extra work that will take away from thier profits. They are making us "the customer" find a work-around instead of fixing it. And just watch we will get the whole "It's your system/anti-Virus" BS.
