kill them lol

come up from the floor infront of them and with a rocket launcher, or plasma gun, keep jumping up through the hole you make to fire off rounds - they will shoot and hit the floor around you, but should give you enough time, shielded somewhat by the floor pieces, to destroy them.

Save beforehand, so you can reload if you fail.

Tunnel down and under the Factory, locate the core, destroy it. And turrets won't function.

You can also try breaking through some blocks down the backside of those turrets from rooms above, and thus bypassing them completely.

There is another turret further in, be careful :)

Depending on what's under them... get under them and remove the blocks they sit on. SI should kick in.

Run past the turrets into the far hallway, then use the walls of the hallway to hide behind to get angles where you can fire and the turrets cannot fire on you. You will have to kill the mobs that are in the far hallway first of course.

yea the same thing happened to me, got pulverized the first time. My work around to the problem was to use hand held plasma cannon to cut through the base, then come up under them and attack. They have no chance of hitting you if you undercut them.
//That's assuming you have the capability of crafting a plasma cannon. If not, just use ALOT of assault weapon rounds to cut through the base or something.

When attacking such a POI in solo mode, I arm myself with 2 assault (or pulse) rifles and a minigun (or third assault rifle), and a T2 pistol. It is way quicker to switch weapons than it is to reload them. lately I have been using a sniper rifle to take out the spawn pads from long range.
actually, the way I did it was nice and lazy. In fact, I died twice inside and dropped 2 backpacks so I had little other option than this:

I got in my SV, and took a hovering position over landing pad 2. Below landing pad 2 is a 1st basement floor, then below that is the test fire range, housing those two nasty turrets.

I fired my rockets at the floors until I made a gaping hole, angled my SV and blasted the hell out of the turrets using Area of Effect, by keeping myself blocked from sight behind the floors above and firing at the ground next to the turrets.

Once they were dealt with, I landed the SV inside that chamber and got on with gleefully collecting all my stuff back from my backpacks and moving deeper into the factory's lower levels.

I get a 404 when I try to view the image in the original post. But I should mention that structural integrity's effect on spawners flip/flops back and forth from game version to game version.

Basically, any advice about what works or fails, what is good, or bad, depends on game version, and most of our experience comes from older versions.

Now that is a good idea, it is quicker to switch weapons than reload. Thnx Brofessor!

It's called a New York reload. https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/New_York_reload
