This is not just a risk, its happening often to the trusting, and it is limiting Faction size growth,
But with the serious structural issues being fixed, perhaps we all just need to be careful until this can be addressed - 5 man dev team and all that.
Yes exactly, this is what is preventinig me from starting or joining another faction
The NDA testers are hinting they are testing "something big" and "will make people very happy".
So, Im thinking "soon"
ya factions are kinda pointless in the game right now, unless your main goal in MP is PVP death.
Not totally pointless, as a solo player (mostly) on MP servers, I always create my own faction so as not to be tracked in the server list. (M is It?) It hides your location, so there is a small benefit there. I think it also reduces your base and ship location on the planetary map in that people have to be closer to see it, but I'm not 100% on that feature.
Also the new ability to "unfaction" your vessels allows for transport of non-faction entities, another step in the right direction.
