door codes on poi
Im working a poi called [xen] mining operation There is a locked door with a door code required but i cant find the code anywhere.

I have tried blasting it with guns and it sais i cant do damage to anything. i burned through several explosives on the door as well but not even a dent.

any ideas?

Admin core?

The code will be on a LCD or multiple LCD's around the POI. Sometimes it is on 4 of the curved LCD's and will look like --6- and -2--, etc. with other deco around it. Or it could be in the commanders/guard room on a LDC saying it is for the door. It is there you just have to look for it.

There are lots of possibilities here as to the whys, but here are some ways to bypass that door. Note that I'm assuming this is a Zirax base, and you're supposed to be attacking it, i.e. it's not part of a campaign mission. Also, and this is the dumb question, this base isn't shielded correct? (If you've destroyed any turrets, it's not shielded.) Shielded bases can't be damaged until you destroy the shield.

1. I'd suggest first looking around the area as you might find the code on a display somewhere. I've also seen a few PDA items in scenarios like Reforged Eden. One of those might have the code in the description.
2. If you use the multi-tool on the door, you can see how many hit points it has. If it still is at full health, then you've probably got an admin core as @Big Brzezinski said.
2. If it has a lock code, you can brute force it by guessing every 4 digit number.
3. Since I assume you don't want to spend several hours doing that, if it's REALLY important, just God Mode yourself through it. Most coded doors you'll come across aren't really meant to open unless you're specifically given the code so you might be at a "campaign mission" door.

Another way is to check grates on the upper wall/ceiling. If the show some damage you can use them to get in the duct work for loot and also to get to other areas of the POI, such as the core room. Just shoot them out and get in there! Many POI designers use this and some of them get really creative with it. They can be very helpful or more than you bargained for. ;D
If there isn't an admin core (the presence of which is indicated by a two chevron map icon), then you might consider marking the door with a waypoint, going back to your ship, and blasting it with vessel weapons from the outside. Messy, but it gets the job done.

If there is an admin core, you've got a code to find.

The entire poi is impervious to damage. i did end up tunneling around it and found a way into the room. the room was just an empty little square room with lights in it and nothing else to it tho. kinda of a let down.

I found out later that the POI was actually part of a main quest line and I cleared it without knowing. the events didnt trigger without the quest so i got stuck.
