Empyrion - Galactic Survival

Empyrion - Galactic Survival

Is that normal for Empyrion that the GPU always runs at 100% ?
I have a RTX 3090 and it always runs at 100% GPU load in this game !

FWIW, 1080 TI, 95% utilization

I wonder what the point of a GPU is, oh right graphics display....
What's the problem? Be glad that it is like this and not the CPU has to do all the work. When the GPU is running at 100%, it is 100% doing the job it is supposed to do.

The game is not fully optimized yet. Any card I believe will run almost or at 100%. Always has as far as I know. Can't wait till that isn't the case. Fingers crossed. It'll be awhile though I'm sure till that day.
Most of my other games don't run the GPU full throttle all the damn time like this game does.

Try setting your max frame rate to 60. This is not 'Call of Duty'. Your FR doesn't not need to be higher than 60.

Giving it a try now. Thnx

>edit< Limiting FPS to 60 did the trick. My GPU is no longer whining about the heat and the fan overload has not fired up once since. Cool beans!

The game makes fun no question but: the point kt is that the game does not have to use my graphics card to 100% capacity with the graphics! Above all, my 3090 runs at 100% load at about 80 degrees and that doesn't have to be the case.

10-12gb ram draw min requirement bc theres a lot of code parts working in unison for the game to work.

A tower with 20+ gb free VRAM can handle this on high settings.

ok at minimum details I have a GPU load of about 40% and that is enough to relieve my ears and keep the GPU at max.50 degrees.

It is normal for a GPU to run at 100% trying to give you the graphic settings you request. Basically yes your computer, all of it, will run at 100% trying to do what you are asking of it. That's what you bought it for. If it was running at 50% you would have justification in complaining, "Why isn't my computer using all of its resources?"

If heat is your issue you probably have a setting to limit how hard the GPU tries according to the temperature. I do with EVGA and a 3080.
