Peak Empyriautism achieved. Thanks for the stats!

I think I collected those all at once thanks to a catastrophic structural integrity incident. SI still needs a little work ...

Which is why I no longer trust it and keep it disabled. I had too many WTF! moments and things ruined by it for no logical reason back in the good old days when chunks broke off and disintegrated.

yea lost 2 thirds of a ship by removing 1 interior light ,,,must been one very very strong light to hold the ship together...thx by the way Vulcasn think it was you that I learned the si off command from lol

It must have been me... no one else even likes to talk about it. :-|

What's nice is that now if a section of a "base" (or wreck) breaks off and you are quick, you can pick up all the materials of that section by targeting it and hitting F. It makes collecting all the Hardened Steel Plates a lot easier for bulk iron+sathium to dump in the factory.

Does this assume placing a core and retrieving full blocks or is this with the T2 multitool and no core so you just get salvage?

How exactly does that work? If any block in a section is targeted, does it salvage just that block or the entire section? Does it recover blocks or the ingredients? The the section includes containers, does it recover the contents of the containers? I'll still leave SI disabled most of the time, but I might selectively experiment with this new feature.

Basically you collapse one or more "chunks" of a base, then you can pick up the chucks with F

You get parts like plates, etc, as though you had used the salvage mode of the multitool. but I think the loss rate is higher from picking up collapsed chunks. But it is much faster if you don't mind the loss of efficiency

That seems almost certain, now that you mention it and knowing Eleon's strategies. It's likely going to be 33% - the rate of the survival tool - or even less. I'm more inclined to spend the time to achieve the best efficiency, if forced to choose.

How can u salvage the Titan crashes ? Is there some core to find and destroy ?
Sparrowhawk65 Mar 17, 2019 @ 11:44pm
My understanding is that wrecked "ships" have no core so you can stride on up to them and place your own. Back in the day we used to have to find and destroy the core first. All too easy now. ;)

Which core do I have to place ? HV core ?

The "Core" is the Green one form the Devices tab in any Constructor.

Starter blocks from the Building Blocks tab are for making NEW vehicles and bases.

Right. Anyway I have tested: no need of Core to retrieve blocks from Titan/

If you want to get whole blocks reliably, then you need a core. Without a core, you will mostly get components.
