Artificial Mass Blocks
Am I incorrect in that we used to have artificial mass blocks for CVs? All I am showing in creative is large blocks that say they can be used only in SVs and HVs.

Artificial mass blocks are use to balance HVs only. SVs generally don't need them. Well designed HVs generally don't need them.

I have never had to use them for an SV or an HV. They are so small the balance has never been an issue in over 5600 hours in game.

CVs are not subject to weight distribution except maybe on the landing gear, so what good would the artificial mass blocks be?

I think the heaviest CV block is combat armor, or a container filled with combat armor L or armored concrete L blocks. Something like that would be the closest thing.

While I am very careful to build balanced, others don't and often landing a CV is not considered. The issue I am trying to address is a Star Trek styled ship with nacelles in the rear that don't come close to the ground. The saucer can sit flat, but without keeping it powered, it pitches back. The only thing I could think of, barring ugly legs of some type, was to make the front heavier. Since that isn't possible, this ship, like so many others won't be bothered with any further. Thanks for the input.

Hmm... You might need a container with ballast blocks in it to get the right density, assuming weight distribution works properly on CVs and it would only work with volume/weight enabled.

Otherwise I think the only thing you can do is mess with the balance of steel vs combat steel blocks.

I usually just build boring ships with landing gear on four corners so I havent run into this sort of thing.
