I'm so new to this game that you are talking over my head. I'm learning more every day than I can retain. I did download a few similar SV minors and they work fine. I'm also new to this whole genre, the only other game I have played since SNES was No Man's Sky. So I have a lot to learn. Thanks for the reply. I'll try to build my own stuff at some point, but for now I'm happy to use an existing BP and make small modifications to it without breaking it.
It also has it's own set of rules for ships as well as unique item in place of vanilla versions.
Usually the title or description of ships on the workshop will say RE/ Reforged Eden etc.
I suspect it to be a RE build which will have illegal blocks in vanilla.

J Randall has some really nice builds of vanilla game. He has some great starter builds. Cheap but efficient for early game.
1. Spawn the Merc-TDM into a RE game save and remove the forbidden blocks (listed below).
2. Save the modified ships blueprint. Alt & O keys
3. Spawn the recently saved blueprint into vanilla and replace the removed equipment.
4. Save blueprint again; over-writing the previous save. Might even rename to add a vanilla identifier.
The expanded procedure and noted forbidden blocks:
A. Remove Heavy Shield (listed under defense tab) RE Exclusive
B. Remove all four Small Shield Capacitors. RE exclusive.
C. Remove one(1) of the five(5) CPU Extender (Advanced). These are called T4 Extenders in Vanilla. The max amount of T4 Extenders in Vanilla is four(4) so leave the rest where they are.
D. Remove all four Minigun Turrets. These turrets are different in RE. The manual fire Gatling Cannons are fine to leave. They carry over.
E. Remove all four Advanced Small Generators. These are RE exclusive.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
SPECIAL NOTE: In vanilla, the max amount of drill turrets is six. The Merc-TDM has eight. This ship can be used if playing on a server or a single player game with Blueprint spawn limits set to false only.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Once a new blueprint is saved and re-spawned in a vanilla game, reinstall the missing parts. Some adjustments must be made.
A. Install Polarized Hull shield.
B. Install the four minigun turrets.
c. Install the generators. Extra note of adjustment: More generators will be needed. I put 8 generators in and it passed the test of using as many thrusters as possible and drill turrets firing while shield was charging. One generator less and power could exceed 100% in above 1G atmosphere or other loads going such as constructor and/or guns. Eight generators should be fine.
Now save the new blueprint. Recommend adding a vanilla use indicator in the saved blueprint name.
There you have it. An RE build converted for vanilla fun. I would post this one but don't feel right posting someones build. Enjoy.
I found a system in an area not owned by any faction, with more than 12 planets/moons of varying biomes. Plenty of every resource and tons of stuff to disassemble. It’s a great place to build a learn. I have only found 2 ships so far over L2. But the drones pester you mining almost anything.
I actually settled with this miner. It does well mining, fits in the CV and is fair at defending itself.

Next I want to get a L3 or higher fighter and learn how to fight in space. My son (A serious game), says part of my struggle is not having a gaming mouse and the settings not being right. The gaming mouse is my next system upgrade.
