Silly question, can't find my suit helmet

I've been away from the game, maybe a year now, I've continued from where I left off, I need to harvest seaweed but somehow I don't have a helmet.

Is it possible that I've mis-placed it, lost it, or damaged it?

Can I craft a new one?

I have this well supplied base with T2 equipment, but are completely lost Haaaaaaahaaaaahaaha lol

Use the U key. it toggles helmet on/off.

If it's an old game (pre-6.0) your not wearing armor, you should be able to unlock and craft light armor, or you need to use the creative item menu to cheat yourself armor. I would suggest you start a new game as an old game can have more bug and glitches.

Bottom left you'll see the helmet icon and it'll be greyed out when not worn. Alternatively press V for 3rd person view and you can physically see it on and off. Also same with the character menu.
