Key Binding.

[Cazz]

Is the key binding for "Look Around" supposed to be grayed out? I click on it and nothing happens and riding the bike without being able to look around is driving me nuts.

That is normal for the bike. You can't look around never could never will.

Actually you can (at least I can). Pressing Left Alt invokes free look. Can't tell you how many holes I fell in looking off to the side while riding! (:

Are you playing on MP or SP? If on MP maybe the admin has disabled it?

That's ok. I had over 1000 hours in the game before I found out the Pause key actually pauses the game! Who knew!

You've been able to do that in every version since at least 4.xx

Odd that the key binding is greyed out, if Im understanding you correctly cazz ?

I use the spacebar to change view, I bound it in options, it works for all moving vehicles the only reason I can think of for your binding to be greyed out is if you have bound that key to something else and left the 'look around' binding unbound to anything.

Not sure why it does nothing when you click on it though, I wonder if you have a binding bug, have you tried verifying all files and restarting the PC ?

Thanks for the replies. I validated the game files and reset my pc but the problem still remained. In fact I found that it was not the only option that I couldn't change, there were 3 others doing the same thing.

I ended up restoring the default settings of the keybindings and I was able to change the input key then to one of my choosing. I do think there is a problem on my keybindings still though as I was in the middle of changing it all to what I wanted and the game froze and I had to force it closed.

Anyway I'll just have to try not to do much fiddling in the keybindings. I have things where I want them now so all is good for the moment. :)
